Do it again
Do it
Let's do it again (do it)
Do it
Let's do it again (okay)

I remember the days (uh-huh)
High rights, low lefts, even stevens and fades
Troops Lotto and BK's, those was the days (uh-huh)
Hi-tec boots spray paintin' with your names
T-shirts airbrushed that read the same
thick herringbone chain (uh-huh), one gold with yo' initial
Harris Photos, group shots, can you remember?
Barry, him told his bitch go to the prom and die
Didn't lie, shot his-self in the head with the .45 (oh, man)
When she disobeyed (what?), had North Clayton crazed
Just to reiterate, dawg, those was the days
'Fore the invasions of haters, man crews from all around
Used to get down at True Flavas (why?), bumpin' Key Lo
Rockin' Damage, Cross Colour and Paco
While playboys stepped in talent shows
Prom night, tux and Kangol was so cool (woo)
Fuck them new model cars, we ridin' old school (old school)

It used to be all good when we played Double Dutch in the hood
On the softball team I was swingin' that wood
I remember eatin' Kool-Aid and sunflower seeds
Jelly shoes, hair braided wit 1000 beads
Mama sittin' on the porch 'till the lights come on
And when I woke up in the mornin' and my bike was gone
I was sick to my stomach, couldn't eat for days
Sweepin' beauty shops, saving, making minimum wage
Then I cop the 10-speed and got back on my feet
A whole pack'a girls ridin' twenty deep in the street
We playin' catch a boy, freak a boy, switchin' up the rules
A summertime splash party get you in the pool
Ladies if ya feel it - holla back cause you wit me
Shout my nigga Keya, Tony Mack, Jalay, Nikki
This for all them hood parkin' lots in every city
Ludacris, Face, Lil' Fate, Shawnna you wit me

We were tryin so hard
Hard to survive
'Cause even though we were young
We had to stay strong
No matter what we went through
It was me and my crew
And that's how it went
When we were kids

I had a Long John but no Silver, no gold or plat
I was simply red from the years I been holdin' back
With two sides to a book I lick stamps and light matches
And set fires in garbage pales and cabbage patches
A child of the corn been wild since I was born
Climbin' over barbed wire, clothes got torn
Shoes got muddy and my click turned cruddy
Wherever I go they went they my buddies
I brush teeth, brush naps and calm streets
Dreamin' of Cadillacs, wood wheels and plush seats
Cats with gold teeth and raps with such beats
Macks with no grief and some sacks of green leaf
When I loaded my cap gun I was ready for ac-tion!
Starin' at beer cans and a moment to crack one
Wanna hang with the big boys and play with the big toys
And be with the people makin all that got damn noise, man

I remember, Swiss Watches, Izod, Berries
Levi Denims, dried eyed jerry-curls
Back when the girls wore striped chick jeans
Straight leg Lee's on, sewn at the seams
Borrowing dope tape was all good if ya head-bang
Long as you was ridin', you ain't need to have a gang
And even back then chicks was starvin' the church status
You even had a car, favorite drawer that kept stack
Old school homies did nothin' but block red
Stay gon' off the old E and pop Zan's
Mama had to mourn over it, niggas ya hang around
To the point when you came in the house when they came around
And - My dad was dead so these streets had to raise me
And even back in 1983 shit was crazy
Young, black, broke, drunk be a smoke
It's good they kicked my ass outta' the school, fuck the principal

We were tryin so hard
Hard to survive
'Cause even though we were young
We had to stay strong
No matter what we went through
It was me and my crew
And that's how it went
When we were kids

We were tryin so hard
Hard to survive
'Cause even though we were young
We had to stay strong
No matter what we went through
It was me and my crew
And that's how it went
When we were kids

Do it
Let's do it again
Do it
Let's do it again
Do it
Let's do it again
Do it
Let's do it again
Do it
Let's do it again

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
