Isn't It Strange?
How life is so real?
Everytime you meet someone you feel
Someone you hold Every night
The way that it makes you feel

Just A Kiss In The Dark
Made a change in my heart
Why did I wait so long?
To find a love so very strong

It was so right from the start
Like a hit in the charts
How you walked, The way you talked
The way you said you wanted me baby

'Cause everytime you walk away
It Makes Me want to Say

Isn't It Strange?
How life is so real?
Everytime you meet someone you feel
Someone you hold Every night
The way that it makes you feel
Isn't It Strange?
How life is so real?
Everytime you come home at night
We'll turn down the lights
Will Make it so right
The way that it makes you feel

Makes you feel

It's making eyes
I'm very slow
Let this be love
Let it grow
You're reaching things within my heart
I never knew were there from the start
This feels so right
It can't be wrong
But I don't think I could carry on
If You left me for somebody else
Or leave me waiting on your shelf

'Cause everytime you walk away
It Makes Me want to Say

Isn't It Strange?
How life is so real?
Everytime you meet someone you feel
Someone you hold Every night
The way that it makes you feel
Isn't It Strange?
How life is so real?
Everytime you come home at night
We'll turn down the lights
Will Make it so right
The way that it makes you feel

Makes you feel

Isn't It Strange?
How life is so real?
Everytime you meet someone you feel
Someone you hold Every night
The way that it makes you feel
Isn't It Strange?
How life is so real?
Everytime you come home at night
We'll turn down the lights
Will Make it so right
The way that it makes you feel

Isn't It Strange? (Isn't It Strange?)
How life is so real? (How life is real?)
Everytime you meet someone you feel
(Everytime you meet someone)
Someone you hold Every night (Every Night)
The way that it makes you feel (You come home at night)
Isn't It Strange? (How life is real?)
How life is so real?
Everytime you come home at night
We'll turn down the lights (We'll turn down the lights)
Will Make it so right (Turn down the lights)
The way that it makes you feel
Makes You Feel

How are there no comments on this?

I think Isn't It Strange was my favorite off of the album. It just had this.. feel to it, along with Lately.

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
