My girl is just a retread
I lost her when I hit the brakes
Our love hits science fiction levels
Now I'm bending like I've made a mistake

Here I stand afraid
With no more to say

And now I feel so insecure
I can't save something I feel so much for
Won't you stay, and leave a light for me

Now I found myself redeemed cos no one seen the bad in me
Or been where I've been
And not turned to leave

And now I feel so insecure
I can't save something I feel so much for
Won't you stay
You know if you had a wing you'd be the last to know you could fly
He strokes your hair to keep you down

Will you fight?
I'll see you fight
Will you fight?
Will you fight?
Will you fight?
Will you fight?
Will you fight?
Will you fight?
Will you fight?
Will you fight?

The good will out and I'll come clean
There's nothing in between
You and me so let me go my way.

An old friend of mine at my last school (4 years ago now) was being bullied, and I felt as hard as I tried I couldn't stop her from feeling hurt, mainly because she was too naive and paranoid herself.

I also thought I was in love with her, which also ate me up cos I knew she wasn't right for me and people would hate me for taking advantage of her.

The lyric 'I feel so insecure, I cant save something I feel so much for' has always struck me.

I can't believe the lack of comments on this song. To me its about a guy who has split from his girlfriend and now he wants her back so badly. I love the way Danny sings Will you fight? because he sound like he's singing it straight from the heart. I've recently split with my girlfriend but I'm still fighting for her but I'm not sure if she'll fight to get back with me so the line "There's nothing in between You and me so let me go my way." I wishs she'd just let me know there is no chance at all so I can move on with my life instead of standing still waiting for something I'll never have.

    Love it 10/10!!

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
