Staring at the static till I'm forced to walk away
Look in to the mirror all I see is fucking grey
Cut my fucking wrist to bleed the demons from my veins
Burn the world and dance in ash till smiles hit my face
Staring at the static till I'm forced to walk away
Look in to the mirror all I see is fucking grey
Cut my fucking wrist to bleed the demons from my veins
Burn the world and dance in ash till smiles hit my face
Welcome to the wasteland
Face plant in the place
Where the sun never shines, I arise
Blacking out the sky like a light switch
Might get burned by the flames
If I fly too high, Icarus
Vigorous work just to break your own ignorance
And dig your own grave
Without showing signs of timidness
Difference between me and all these fucks
I been dead for 20 months
They're still stuck in my trunk
I break away
From the noose around my neck
It's tighter than a fucking circus net
I bet I'll never live to see myself collect a fucking check
So burn my fucking body
Just to prove that I ain't heaven sent
Irrelevant
Malevolent
I represent the worst
A life of only pain
My first error was my birth
For what's it's worth
I was sent here just to rape the fucking planet
Stick my dick in on the top
And have it spinning on my axis
I'm Death reincarnated
Mayhem's just a part
Blow my fucking brains out
And use that shit as cover art
I left my heart inside the fingers of a broken promise
Now I'm crawling back to hell
My only name is Jake The Godless
There's no honest thoughts left
Like Kokpelli's how I live
Cuz the knife sticking out my side is holding broken ribs
So I pull the blade out
And push it right into your back
And tell your god I never listened too
It's all a fucking act
And in fact, for the man in black
My life is just a game
So I'll fuck it up and point the blame
When I hang myself with golden chains
And we're not the same you and I
I try to be precise
I'm a walking talking poltergeist
Ten below
I polarize
Swollen eyes looking like
I motorized my smoking pipe
Notarized my image to be demonized by social likes
Demoralized
Scrutinized
And criminalized
Inside your eyes
I feed off your hate
And use that shit to burn your fucking lies
Staring at the static till I'm forced to walk away
Look in to the mirror all I see is fucking grey
Cut my fucking wrist to bleed the demons from my veins
Burn the world and dance in ash till smiles hit my face
Hate how this world is fake
All the real have been erased
Fuck your priests and what they say
Fuck your cult religious ways
Broken rules, say fuck the system
Broken people, tide will turn em
Broken gods all from the sermon
Broken ribs inside my sternum

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
