"A-OK" as written by and Joshua Allen Cain Justin Courtney Pierre....
This time I thought I'd listen
And the story goes, I am the same
Without medicine I can't pretend
It never ends

I'm fine, I'm fine
These words are all I have to hide
Behind, so get behind me
You have no right to say

I shut my mouth and walk away
From the memory game
So don't forget, don't forget
I am the reason

Long lasting this obsession
From sleepless Mays to Denver cold
Somewhere in between
I threw myself away

Someday you'll understand
That everything is A-ok
Someday you'll understand
That everything is A-ok

I shut my mouth and walk away
From the memory game
So don't forget, don't forget
I am the reason

It's funny when you say you're A-ok
It's funny when you say you're A-ok

I'm fine, I'm fine
These words are all I have to hide
Behind, so get behind me
You have no right to say

I shut my mouth and walk away
From the memory game
So don't forget, don't forget
I am the reason

I shut my mouth and walk away
(You're A-ok)
From the memory game
So don't forget, don't forget
(You're A-ok)
I am the reason

Someday you'll understand
(You're A-ok)
That everything is A-ok
(You're A-ok)
Someday you'll understand
That everything is A-ok
(You're A-ok)

General Commentto me it seems to be about someone with a seriuos problem (probalby drug abuse judging by the line "without medicine
    i can't pretend")
that is very close to a member of the band.most of the song seems to be from the perspective of the band member recounting what his friend says to him, that everything is "A-OK."

General CommentThis song has that bitter, end-of-summer feel to it and every time I hear it it just hits me in the gut. Especially that part where he sings "I am the reason".

At least, that's how it is for me.

General CommentWhen i first heard this song it jumped out at me especially with the lyric "Without medicine i can't pretend, it never ends." I have experience with many friends the up and downs, and downright negative effects of anti-depressants. I think this is what MCS is trying to grasp from this song. It always easier to say you're fine without admitting any underlying problems. Keeping up appearances to the happy smiley world is always the hardest thing to do.

General CommentI think this song is about someone who has problems or maybe isn't as confident, as he wants people to think he is. So he says everything is A-Ok, but really his world is crumbling. And he talks big, but thats all it is :: talk.
