1am the venue closes down, it's been a long day
we're on a great big road trip from coast to coast
the map is in our hands, wave goodbye and off we go
free from normal life
so many cool kids, so many cool bands
and we're here since we began.

whoa, here we go
this adventure is our history, we're out here on our own

6am the sky is turning light. wish i could go home
L.A. to Salt Lake in one long night
the sun is coming up but my body feels cold inside
what am i doing?
we'll never get there, we'll never get there,
if we didnt who would care?

then there are times when
i feel so alone and no one knows who i am
then there are times when
gabe and mike and dom are there to be friends
then there are times when
the kids we meet mean more to us than we ever thought they could

whoa, here we go
this adventure is our history, we're out here on our own

driving all day, driving all night
mike bought some coffee, dom got in a fight
sleeping on the floor, driving through the snow
sweaty smokey venues at every single show
el diablo is our home
still one question: where did gabe go?

whoa, here we go
this adventure is our history, we're out here on our own
whoa, here we go
this adventure is our history, we're out here on our own

General Commentsuper great song. bad times and good time of being on the road. but the best times stick out the most:

    then there are times when
i feel so alone and no one knows who i am (bad)
    then there are times when
gabe and mike and dom are there to be friends (good)
    then there are times when
the kids we meet mean more to us than we ever thought they could (best)

General Commentthis lyrics has alot of errors in the theme, where it say's "still one question.. where did Gabe go?" i think it actually say's "where did time go?" and where it say's "mike brought me coffe, dom got in a fight" it actually say's "asking for directions, should have turn right" and finally where it say's "sweaty smokey venues at every single show " it say's " a sweaty smokey van, you at every single show" but i still love this song, it's awesome and cherrybomb405 yes our small salt lake town got some recongize SALT LAKE!
