they couldn't have told me that it would be like this...
that it could be like this for you
I wish I would have known that it could be like this...
that it would be like this on you

I know your hurting
I know your reaching out
I'm sure you wonder
what this is all about
you couldn't ?sweat for?
for whats been done to you
I'm sure you feel it
you know I feel it too

Chorus:
sometimes the hardest things in life
are the things we have to do
and even when we feel it's right
I never wanna hurt you

It's never simple
deciding what should be
theres still a vote here
when your an absentee
you could be angry
but your a bigger man
we know your'll make it
never forget to stand

(Repeat Chorus)

you've always been
you always will
you've always been a part of me
you'll always be a part of me
you'll always be a part of me
you'll always be a part of me
you've always been a part...

(Repeat Chorus X2)

this song means alot to me, someone I know and cared for, went away recently, and this along with a few other songs, are one of the few which helped me through the time, I'm still having a hard time dealing with it, but just listening to this, makes me think of everything I loved about them.

1st of all here's the CORRECT lyrics:

They couldn't have told me that it would be like this. that is could be like this for you I wish I would have known that it could be like this that it would be like this for you.

I know you're hurting, I know you're reaching out I'm sure you wonder what this is all about You could be spiteful for what's been done to you I'm sure you feel it. You know I feel it too.

Sometimes the hardest things in life are the things we have to do Even when we feel it's right I never want to hurt you

I'ts never simple deciding what should be There's still a void here when you're an absentee You could be angry, but you're a bigger man We know you'll make it. Never forget to stand.

Sometimes the hardest things in life are the things we have to do Even when we feel it's right I never want to hurt you

You've always been, you always will You've always been a part of me You'll always be a part of me You've always been a part

The hardest things in life are the things we have to do Even when we feel it's right, I never want to hurt you Sometimes the hardest things in life are the things we have to do Even when we feel it's right, I never want to hurt you.

I know for a fact that this song is about replacing thier former drummer. They felt it was the right thing to do, and that it was neccesary, but it still hurt to lose part of thier band.

A few weeks ago, my good friend/would-be (will-be? I can only hope :P) boyfriend asked me to give him some space to think. We went a weekwithout any form of communication. I thought it was gonna be longer, and was so glad when it was over. This is the song that got me through that week. Its my favorite song from LOVE. I adore it. ^^

This isn't a break up song... It's about a former bandmate that they kicked out.

    about a bandmate, right?

that doesn't mean it doesn't make sense in the breaking up scenario. let people feel what they want.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
