"Change" as written by and Shaun Matthew/pereira Verreault....
Did you bring anything that you made yourself?
Did it all come from somebody else?
Are you there, anywhere
On the ground, in a chair
Asking flesh and blood for help

Change, but be yourself now
Change, but be yourself now

Do you go what you know and feel just fine?
Or do you try, on the fly, to be fresh?
A bed of nails, a night in jail
That's the hard way to learn
Doing what you're told makes no sense

Change, ah yeah, but be yourself now
Change, ah yeah, but be yourself now
Change, ah yeah, but be yourself now
Change, ah yeah, but be your be yourself now

Change, ah yeah, but be yourself now
Change, yeah, but be yourself now
Change, but be yourself now
Change, but be yourself now

Woo hoo
Woo hoo

But tomorrow dive deeper with me
Share them things and well go far indeed
We could slow down, holding, under
Try everything that ever made you wonder

How to change, but be yourself now
Change, but be yourself now
Change, but be yourself now
Change

Change!

Change, ah yeah, but be yourself now
Change, ah yeah, but be yourself now
Change, ah yeah, but be yourself now
Change, ah yeah, but be yourself now

Change
Change

Change
Change

General CommentA pretty good song. Wide Mouth Mason put on really good concerts. They were the first band I ever saw in concert and they put on a really good show. I think this song is about a person who is poser and someone else is telling them to change and by changing for them to just be themself.

General CommentI don't think these lyrics are 100% correct. I always thought "change, aw yeah, but be your be yourself now" was "change, but be your real self, real self now", and that "we could slow down, holding, under" was "we could slow down, all day, under". *shrugs* But I'm not 100% sure either. And I never noticed those "aw yeah" parts until I read this while listening to the song! Weird.
