"Arse Kickin' Lady From the Northwest" as written by and Tim Adrian*term/w/ret* Rogers....
Well she breezed on through my hotel room
Like an interstate truck in the rain.
She said she cut her teeth on skinny Jims
There ain't no scales mapping out I just wanna play
She spun me a really good story
Never let the truth get in the way
And that's the reason I'm still standing here today

She said she came down from the north-west of town
In a '63 Holden EJ
With potato from Kentucky and a fresh pack of Luckys
And a Bowie compilation tape

She spun me a real good story
Never let the truth get in the way
And that's the reason I'm still standing here
The reason I'm still standing here
The reason I'm still standing here today

I left my brains in Hong Kong
Left my wallet in a two dollar shirt
And I remember every goddamn minute with you
Like a minute in a movie that hurts

She spun me a real good story
I never questioned anything that she said
And that's the reason she's still standing here
The reason she's still standing here
The reason she's still standing here today

I listened to a real good story
Never let the truth get in the way
And that's the reason I'm still standing here
The reason she's still standing here
The reason we're still standing here today

General CommentThis is a top song from australias greatest songwriter of all time. Album version is a mad little country ditty and the live version cuts loose and lets mr davey lane tickle his fingers. Mr rogers always has a special way with words every time he writes. Hes a fuckin talent
