"Turnstile" as written by and Gerry Mulligan....
Raise your voice in swells, find your meanings then
Use your signs inside to relive and never care

No point in holding back on what you're holding
No matter it be shit or it be golden
Foundations shift, they're still shifting
We set up, we set up our falls

Hold on tight to your fears
Cause that's your hatred
And that's your love as well

Learn to use all your fears
As a fuel, an engine
To get you where you need

I must always remember
There's no point to surrender

No point in holding back on what you're holding
No matter it be shit or it be golden
Foundations shift, they're still shifting
We set up, we set up our falls

Hold on tight to your fears
Cause that's your hatred
And that's your love as well

Learn to use your fears
As a fuel, an engine
To get you where you need

I must always remember
There's no point to surrender

I shift

I shift

General CommentDo not let anyone or anything stand in the way of what you are doing. Conquer your fears, don't let them control your output in life. The only thing that can cause you to fail is you!

General CommentTo me, this song says don't be all uptight about things.
From the "No point to surrender" part, I get that there is no turning back so why not go for it?

General CommentWhat is it that he shouts at the end? It souds like "They're still shifting!" but I really can't tell. Anyone know for sure?

I agree with thephobia about the surrender part. There's no point to surrender, so keep on fighting. Although what I take away from this song is the bit about fear. It says that fear can be used as hatred or it could be used as love. And then it gives some good advice: Learn to use your fears as a fuel to get you where you need to be. In other words... It's OK to be afraid, but turn your fears to love and you can use it to your advantage.
