"Beautiful Night" as written by Todd Lewis and Taz Bentley....
Its a beautiful night for feeling lonely
A beautiful night for being afraid
So raise your hands, you one and only's
You one-of-a-kinds who feel this way

I don't want to talk, don't want to explain it
I don't want to fuck and I don't want to fight
Its only a feeling, it's fleet and fading
Its all over the world, and it's only tonight

'Cause it's a beautiful night, beautiful night, yeah
Beautiful night, beautiful night to be here

Its a perfect time for being wasted
A perfect time to watch the stars
So throw back your head
Come on, embrace it
Its a beautiful night, wherever you are

It's a beautiful night
Beautiful night, yeah
Beautiful night
Beautiful night to be here

All good things will come to you
Maybe tonight, maybe tonight it's the truth
I don't know

All good things to those who dream
Maybe tonight, maybe tonight we'll find peace
God I hope so

So raise your hands, raise your hands..

All good friends, they stood by you
And one at a time, one at a time they fell down
They fall down

All your fears are coming true and
This is the time, this is the time of your life
That defines you

So raise your hands, raise your hands..

Under the stars I'm alone among strangers
Confused, connected, diffused and alive
Maybe the future will smile on us
Maybe the future is here tonight

'Cause it's a beautiful night, beautiful night, yeah
Beautiful night,
Beautiful night yeah,
Beautiful night,
Beautiful night yeah,
Beautiful night,
Beautiful night yeah,
Beautiful night yeah,
Beautiful night yeah,
Beautiful night,
It's a beautiful night to be here

General Commentthis song is pretty depressing for me. it depends on the mood i am when i begin listening to it, but it usually ends up making me sad. its great though, along with all the other songs on that ep.

General CommentDefinately a feel good song. Definately about youth. Once in a while i get depressed after hearing it because im in college, my last few good years. At the same time it makes me all the more determined to go out and have a good time.

General CommentI love this song because I can relate, but are you people listening to the same song I am? This song is about anything but feeling good. It's about being alone and hurting. Every verse is about being sad...

Did you read the lyrics? Did you listen to the words? Or were you too busy getting drunk or high to hear anything but the damned corrus, which is intended to be ironic.

Abandonment - "All good friends, they stood by you.
And one at a time (one at a time)
They fall down. (they fall down)"

Oh yeah, it feels wonderful to be dissed by all your friends.

    Depression - "I don't want to talk,
    Don't want to explain it.
    I don't want to fuck
And I don't want to fight.
    It's only a feeling,
    It's fleeting, and fading.
    It's all over the world
    And It's only tonight.- "

How depressed does a guy have to be to not want to fuck???? I don't think I've ever been that depressed.

    Self-destruction - "It's a perfect time for being wasted.
A prefect time to watch the stars.
    So throw back your head,
    Come on embrace it.
It's a beautiful night wherever you are.
    It's a beautiful night.
    A beautiful night, yeah.
    A beautiful night.
A beautiful night to be here."

Yeah that'll solve everything, won't it?

"Feel good" my ass. The only posive things he says in the song are doubtful... "Maybe the future will smile on us, Maybe the future is here tonight."

General CommentI can see how this song can be about having a great time, and I can see how this song is about depression. But when I really look at the lyrics and analyze it, it seems to me that it is more about a failed relationship.

"It's a beautiful night for feeling lonely.
A beautiful night for being afraid.
So raise your hands you one and onlys.
You one of a kind who feel this way."

the first verse is about how the singer is talking to his ex, and he doesn't understand how she can want to be alone instead of being with him. He says she is one of a kind for being like this, for prefering solitude to company.

    "I don't want to talk,
    Don't want to explain it.
    I don't want to fuck
And I don't want to fight.
    It's only a feeling,
    It's fleeting, and fading.
    It's all over the world
    And It's only tonight."

The second verse is the singer trying to convince her that her precence is all he wants. He doesn't want to talk to her, he doesn't want to have sex, and most importantly he doesn't want to fight. The feelings he has for her are there, and he wants her to bask in them with him, but the feeling is slowly fading so it needs to be done tonight!

"It's a perfect time for being wasted.
A prefect time to watch the stars.
    So throw back your head,
    Come on embrace it.
It's a beautiful night wherever you are.
    It's a beautiful night.
    A beautiful night, yeah.
    A beautiful night.
A beautiful night to be here."

This part is saying how it would be so great to drink with her, to even watch the stars with her, but put simply it would be a beautiful night for them to be together. The singer says "its a beautiful wherever you are" and then ends it with its a "beautiful night here" saying you could be just as happy with him.

"All good things will come to you,
    Maybe tonight (maybe tonight)
    It's the truth.
    I don't know.
All good things to those who dream.
    Maybe tonight (maybe tonight)
    We'll find peace.
    God I hope so.
So raise your hands (raise your hands)."

This verse is saying how maybe if she simply were able to open her eyes and dream about a possible future with him, they would find peace. He places all his hope in that.

"All good friends, they stood by you.
And one at a time (one at a time)
They fall down. (they fall down)
All your fears are coming true
And this is the time (this is the time)
Of your life, that defines you.
So raise your hands (raise your hands)."

It seems this verse is talking about how all of her friends were for her saying that she was doing the right thing, but as time goes on, they see what is happening and stop supporting her, and they fall off. They know what she is doing is stupid. And her fears are comming true, she is absolutly alone.

"Under the stars I’m alone among strangers.
    Confused, connected, diffused and alive.
Maybe the future will smile on us,
Maybe the future is here tonight."

This is the verse that gives me the main idea that it is about two people rather then depression or partying. Through the whole song he is refering to "you" or someone else, and now he is finally singing to himself. saying how he is now surrounded by strangers (new girls that can't compare to his ex), and he hopes that prehaps one day he will end up with her.

General CommentThis song song got played during a football game.

Thank God, BB are finally getting some mainstream attention. One of the few original modern rock bands. And damn good, too.
