"I Will Be Heard" as written by and James Shanahan....
Now is the time for me to rise to my feet
Wipe your spit from my face
Wipe these tears from my eyes [Repeat: x2]

(Now is the time)
I've got to take my life back
One chance to make it right
I've gotta have my voice be heard
And bring meaning to this life
Cause I've trusted for nothing
I've been led astray
I've been tried and tested
But I won't accept defeat
Now I've done things I regret
And its time to reverse the rules
I just want to make good on all the promises that I have made

I will be
I will be heard
I will be heard

Now is the time

Through the worst we prevail
So our voices will be heard
Through the worst we prevail
So our voices will be heard

Now is the time [Repeat: x2]

I've got to take my life back

I will be
I will be heard
I will be heard [Repeat: x2]

General CommentFirst of all this website is called "Song Meanings" which is giving your interpretation of the song lyrics. All this debate and band bashing is pure fucking shit. If you would read the lyrics to this song and had some intelligence, you would be able to tell that Hatebreed has some talent and are not sell outs. They write some great lyrics. This song is more than just about being pissed off. This song, like many Hatebreed songs is about reacting to abuse. But their music is not just about being pissed off and angry (which is a natural emotion to abuse) but this song is about getting over the anger and making something of yourself. In this song, he realizes that if he has respect for himself, then he will stand up for himself and tell people how he feels. He is determined to fight back and win by making something of himself. This song is about anger but it is half the message. There are so many positive undertones flowing through this song as with many Hatebreed songs. That is why I love their music, they are so realistic and down to earth. They have been kicked in the ass by the world but are going to fight back and make a negative into a positive.

General CommentI first heard this song on the film XXX before I'd ever heard of Hatebreed. But five years on I've got three of their albums, "I Will Be Heard" is still one of my favourite tracks, and they're one of my favourite bands. And I don't know why everyone debates on the meaning of the song, because it's so fucking clear it's not funny.

General CommentI don't care how many people say Hatebreed sold out, even if they did this song is still great. Except at the Hatebreed show people we're screaming at Converge to get off the stage, now thats not right. Hatebreed is good but Converge is much better.

General Commenteveryone talking about bands selling out, if you really care about what band sold out, or witch band is hardcore, then you dont understand its not about peoples opinions of the band its about the music, and if you really like the music who give a fuck what people say they did.

General CommentNah this song isn't anything about going crazy, this guy is saying people can fix things they've if they arnt so selfish for themselves, if they stand up and take control for what is happening to them. Yeah, I agree this song does make you want to jump in a dodge viper and hit 160 mph down the autobond, but if you look at it and agree with it gow its almost like your life, you want to sit back and mellow

General CommentUhh, I like Slipknot, I'm not really "Hardcore", but if you guys want some hard stuff, check out Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Mortician, Iced Earth, Internal Bleeding, etc. I don't listen to that kind of stuff though.
