I see it around me
I see it in everything
I could be so much more than this

I said my goodbyes
This is my sundown
I'm gonna be so much more than this

With one hand high
You'll show them your progress
You'll take your time
But no one cares
No one cares

I need you to show me the way from crazy
I wanna be so much more than this

With one hand high
You'll show them your progress
You'll take your time
But no one cares
No one cares

No one cares
(I could be so much more than this)
No one cares
(I wanna be so much more than this)

General Commentit was originally a GBC song. GBC is jims side project. it was turned into a JEW song for BA. its still worth getting hold of, if you can find an mp3 of it.

General Commentthis reminds me of polaris and goodbye sky harbor.
    polaris because of the beginning.
goodbye sky harbor because of how i get this "one door closes, waiting for the next to open" feeling. i want to say it's about graduation.

General CommentThis song reminds me sort of myself. I'm the classic underachiever, I know I could be so much more than this. This is a great representation of a major life transition and what it is to truly move on.

General CommentI think it's about wanting to be more than you really are, but no one cares and they don't even notice when the person changes, so the person says their goodbyes, there is a part of the song missed out from these lyrics.

General CommentThis song is missing out some parts but I actually saw a completely different perspective on this song than most of you guys did.

It sounds like its coming from the point of view of a person representing the thoughts of a generation that feels so un noticed. He's crying out saying "No one cares, I can be so much more than this"

And often times I've discovered these are the thoughts of youth across america. That nobody recognizes their dreams, achievements, the fact they could be somebody amazing. A kid who is lacking affirmation in his calling and what he is supposed to do with his life. He feels as though everyone has given up on him.

And one of the most key parts thats missing I think is the ending

    "Good goodbye lovely time.
    Good goodbye tin sunshine.
    Good goodbye I'll be fine.
    Good goodbye, good goodnight"

I actually think its about suicide. He was crying out saying I can be more and nobody noticed. So he's saying I'm gonna be so much more than this. It's as though he thinks committing suicide would be a bigger legacy than he could ever have given alive.

And at the end he's saying goodbye repeatedly. And then goodnight. When I think of sundown I picture my eyes closing the day coming to a close. When I say goodnight I'm going to sleep. When I say I'm fine, I'm really not.

So thats just my take on this guys!

General CommentIt started as a Go Big Casino song and then Jimmy Eat World recorded it. Same goes for "Hear You Me."
