"Stop!" as written by and Lou Reed....
Save the complaints
For a party conversation.
The world is loaded,
It's lit to pop and nobody is gonna stop...

No one...
No one!
No way!
Gonna stop,
Now; go!

Farm people,
Book wavers, soul savers,
Love preachers!
Lit to pop and nobody is gonna stop.

No one...
One come a day, the water will run,
No man will stand for things that he had done...
And the water will run...
One come a day, the water will run,
No man will stand for things that he had done...
And the water will run...
Will run!
Will run!

Gimmie that!
Gimmie that - your automobile,
Turn off that smokestack
And that goddamn radio
Hum... along with me...
Hum along with the t.v.

No one's

General CommentA correct translation for those who want it ^_^ (accent marks missing)

"Senores y senoras, nosotros tenemos mas influencia con sus hijos que tu [should be "ustedes"] tienen. Pero los queremos. Creado y regalo de Los Angeles, Juana's addicion."

Ladies and gentlemen, we have more influence over your children than you do. But we love them. Created [in] and gift from Los Angeles, "Jane's" Addiction.

She might also mean to say "criado" which means "raised" but she says "creado."

General CommentWe have more power over your children, but it doesn't matter, because we love them.

General CommentYeah, the intro is so cool.

"Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jane's Addction!"

I think it is about how if we don't stop fucking about with nature, nature is going to turn around and kill us soon.

General CommentActually, I am not sure if it is:

"Born and raised in Los Angeles"

"Bred and spread in los Angeles"

In the inlay card of the first album it says something about Jane's Addiction being bred and spread in LA, so it is probaly the second one...

General CommentIt's about how the world is going to end and there's nothing we can do stop it, so there's no point. Apparently.

General CommentI'd say its about how in everyday life people fuck over nature and fuck over each other, but noones gonna change this because we're just living our lives. Then he says he's hoping for a future were people wont do this. But then after saying chuck away that smokestack or whatever, he says 'hum along with me, with the tv' and then goes back to 'noones gonna stop' so i dont think that overall this song is not preaching, but is instead just commenting on human nature and not neccesarily saying that its bad
