There’s a golden rule

Says I’ll play a fool

Think I will

Now you’ll figure out,

What it’s all about

And I will

Better for you, better for you

Better for you than me

Better for you, better for you

Better for you than me

Now, sorry never saves your mind, I never wanted to be

Separate your problem my eyes

Heaven know what ever made me

My own mind will drive me crazy

Better for you, better for you

Better for you than me

Better for you, better for you

Better for you than me

General Commentthis song is about a guy who gets involved with a girl. the girl thinks she likes him, but really doesnt know what she wants in her head. so the guy just gets his head messed with for being involved with a confused girl, and ends up getting hurt. he is then stuck questioning his own mental state.

General CommentI don't think he is saying that another guy is "better for you than me."

He's saying that the breakup is "better for you than me."

Slight correction on the second verse:

Now sorry never saves your mind
    I never wanted to be
Separate, you're far from my eyes
    Heaven knows whatever made me
