Gone, I couldn't murder your promise
Right before my eyes
The revolutions of my psychosis
Kept me outta the way

Once, inside, all I hold is ash

Fail, suppressing every feeling
I'm in so much pain
I have every fuckin' right to hate you
I can't take it!

The hardest part was knowing that I could never be you
Now all I do is sit around and wish I could forget you

My demise, I took a life worth living and
Made it worth a mockery
I deny, I fold, but they keep on coming
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me

Who are you to me? Who am I to you?
Is this a lesson in nepotistic negligence?
By default, you are my only link to the outside
Psychosomatic suicide
Where were you when I was down?
Can you show me a way
To face everyday with this face, goodbye

My demise, I took a life worth living and
Made it worth a mockery
I deny, I fold, but they keep on coming
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me

When I blur my eyes, they make the whole
World breath, I see you fucking me
And I am absolutely controlly every urge
To mutilate, the one and only answer
So much for memories
I want to dress in your insecurities
And be the perfect you, I'm through
I'm out-stretched out for all to loathe
Here we go, the ultimate irony

My demise, I took a life worth living and
Made it worth a mockery
I deny, I fold, but they keep on coming
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
I'm always ready to die but you're killing me
Killing me, killing me, killing me
Killing me,

General CommentProbably the best song that SlipKnoT could ever make...
All Fucking maggots in this world should understand that besides general meaning of all SlipKnoT songs, there is a meaning for all of us... Individually...
For me, meaning of this song is his own persona...
He hates himself, probably because he had fucked up life... for much as we all know...
The part where he said : "I took a life worth living and
Made it worth a mockery" looks like he has another person inside his mind... He fucked his own life...
my best part where he sais:

When I blur my eyes, they make the whole
World breath - I see you fucking me
And I am absolutely controlly every urge
To mutilate - the one and only answer
    So much for memories...
I wanna derss in your insecurities
And be the perfect you - I'm through
I'm out-stretched out for all to loathe
Here we go - the ultimate irony

Try to put it this way...
All things in the world seem allright when I dont care about them...
because he doesnt want to feel He doesent remember of anything also...
He wanna take over the person outside of his body...
and simply be apathetic, that so... he would be perfect... why?!
No one could annoy him... fuck him... hurt him...
People with habits like that are also known as lunatics... just because they simply dont care...
That is also a big irony... He fucks himself up instead of helping himself...

Am I at lest 50% right?

P.S. Dont listen just songs that have live performances and videos... the best songs
are those which are never comercialized... they are the purest hate...

General CommentWhile I can’t say as I know what the band means by this song I do know what it means to me. Every time I listen to this song or any other Slipknot song I hear deep religious undertones and it really explains how I feel some times when I’m pissed off at God for one reason or another. “I deny - I fold, but they keep on coming” is like “I give up just let me die” but the problems of life keep knocking me down. “I'm out-stretched out for all to loathe Here we go - the ultimate irony” Christ on the Cross and I’ll place myself there too some day to be judged and spite on by all.

Good song Slipknot is one of the best.

General CommentIt's the follow up to diluted...about how his dad fucked him over. Him being corey.

General Commenti like this song the most on the album after #11, and heres a note-nepotistic negligence has to do with court and the judge favoring someone...

General CommentPunk in drublic says... yeah, this song is about Corey and how he never knew his dad. It's really obvious when you listen to the lyrics (and corey said so too himself).. "Where were you when I was down?
Can you show me a way...
To face everyday with this face - goodbye "

General CommentYea, really obsessive. Almost creepy. Awesome song. And it is about Corey's dad. It's one of my favorites.
"I'm out-stretched out for all to loathe
Here we go - the ultimate irony "
The best part of the song in my opinion.

General CommentEven thought not a really popular song by Slipknot, it is an awesome one. I think it is about how Corey's dad used to abuse him as a kid. Great song though.
