"New Disease" as written by Thomas Decker, Robert Garcia, Jonathan Santos and Soren Sarkisyan....
Now I can take this, everything I know
Realize that I'm nothing I wanted to be
I can never change anything I've done
Because it's the only thing I have left
Blame yourself again for what I didn't do
Never even knew it was coming from me
It changed the way I felt, the worst is yet to come
Because I have gone too far now

[Chorus]
Nobody
Changed my mind
And it leads me to a new disease
Somebody
Let it die
But it still becomes a new disease

Is this all worth what this has done to me
Watered down my senses and turned them on me
Fuck morality and everything I know
If I didn't hate this than I couldn't cope
Impersonate myself for what I used to be
Denial is all that's left now

Nobody (repeats x4)
Changed my mind
And it leads me to a new disease
Somebody (repeats x4)
Let it die
But it still becomes a new disease \
But it still becomes a new disease

Seething in my head
I'm suffering instead
I can't remember why
This meant so much to me doubt
Did I ever want this?
It's all I could've been, it's all I would've been doubt
Did I ever want this?
It's all I've ever been, it's all I'll ever be
Seething in my head
I'm suffering instead
I can't remember why
This meant so much to me

[Chorus]

General CommentI personally think that the song is about striving for a goal that seems incredibly important, then realizing that it is all wrong and that you're just a screw-up. Either that or thinking you're on the right track, then realizing you are farther from your goal then you ever though possible, and just giving up.

General CommentGreat song makes sense to "Realize that I'm nothing I wanted to be" and nobody is actually what they want to because nobodys perfect even if they think they are and so we try and change ourselfs and become the image we think is perfect "I can never change anything I've done
Because it's the only thing I have left" he's saying that all our failure's are what we are and we can't change that

General CommentThe song seems to be a self realization that everything that they try to do, it just causes more problems and that they feel like a scape goat of some kind "Blame myself for what I didn't do". Pretty much they accepted the fact that they're in a Catch 22.

Song Meaningraymondo nailed this one. I never really had any ideas as to what this song meant. I saw Spineshank this summer (2009) on Disturbed's "Music As A Weapon" tour and right before they played this song Johnny said something like "This song is for everyone out there like us that doesn't care and just likes to smoke weed, drink whiskey and get fucked up all the time."

General CommentRight now I am listening to this song and reading the lyrics and I can really relate with this song. It definately means something to me. Doesn't he say, "Blame myself again for what I didn't do"??

General CommentYep, he said "Blame myself", not "Blame yourself", well, that makes more sense anyway. I don't see how you could blame yourself for something someone else did. This song does have a meaning-- but I'm not sure what it is.

General CommentHey RawkerChic, you should check out "Synthetic" and "Asthmatic" by Spineshank, if you haven't already. Those two are my favorites.
