bring me back the time
because you know youre special
and we think you know you're wrong
suckerface youre special
do you believe yourself
its not science
do you hide from your reflection
do you believe yourself to be
number one in the world electric
raised by the queens your mother paid
so how does that make you a human god
and all the ladies want you
and sometimes gentlemen too
and still we think we know youre wrong
suckerface youre special
do you believe yourself
its not science
do you hide from your reflection
do you believe yourself to be
number one in the world electric
do you believe yourself
its not science
do you hide from your reflection
do you believe yourself to be
number one in the world electric
bringing back the time
because we know youre special
and we think you know youre wrong
suckerface youre special

General CommentI've had this cd for 2 yrs now.. and just really listened to this song.. kick ass song, aside from the part "And Sometimes Gentlemen Too".. kinda freaks me out.. not that I'm homophobe.. just that it doesn't fit the song at that point.

General CommentHeh heh. I love this song too, but I'd have to disagree whith monogroid when you say "sometimes gentlemen too" doesn't fit... It goes rather well with the whole thing where Orgy pretends to be (or at least is amused by people who think they are) gay.

I think this song is about style and fashion.. Wanting to fit in so that people will like you (hence "and all the ladies want you, and sometimes gentlemen too"). Perhaps the "bring me back the time" is referring to how over the years the styles change, different decades were known for different trends in fashion.

People often say they don't like this song but that's just silly, it's great.

General CommentThis IS a great song......I think its more along the lines of how people have to lie to themselves to get their image ("do you believe yourself" and "do you hide from your reflection") its like they're afraid of seeing the truth in a sense....Its like convincing yourself you're something you're not......HeH, Orgy's great....i remember getting their CD when blue monday first came out....i was like...10 or something....and I didnt understand any of it...lols...

General CommentI see it as being a song about spoilt lil rich kids who grow up with everything they want and expect that to be the same when theyre an adult - "raised by the queens your mother paid, so how does that make you a human god"

Thats where the 'and all the ladies want you, and sometimes gentlemen too' - this is his own view on how the world sees him, that everyone should think hes great.

The 'hide from your own reflection' is about that little part deep inside him that knows he isnt what he believes he is so he refuses to acknowlege it.

    General Commentbest. freaking. song. ever.

this song is definetly about being a star and not really knowing who you are.

"and all the ladies want you... and sometimes, gentlemen too."

that has got to be the funniest line ever! I heart this song.
