"Take My Hand" as written by and Dido/dekkard Armstrong....
Touch my skin, and tell me what you're thinking
Take my hand and show me where we're going
Lie down next to me, look into my eyes and tell me,
Oh tell me what you're seeing

So sit on top of the world and tell me how you're feeling
What you feel is what I feel for you
Take my hand and if I'm lying to you
I'll always be alone
If I'm lying to you

See my eyes, they carry your reflection
Watch my lips and hear the words I'm telling you
Give your trust to me and look into my heart and show me,
Show me what you're doing

So sit on top of the world and tell me how you're feeling
What you feel is what I feel for you

Take my hand and if I'm lying to you
I'll always be alone
If I'm lying to you
Take your time and if I'm lying to you
I know you'll find that you believe me
You believe me, you believe me

Feel the sun on your face and tell me what you're thinking
Catch the snow on your tongue and show me how it tastes

Take your time

Take my hand and if I'm lying to you
I'll always be alone
If I'm lying to you
Take your time, if I'm lying to you
I know you'll find that you believe me

Take my hand and if I'm lying to you
I'll always be alone
If I'm lying to you
Take your time, if I'm lying to you
I know you'll find that you believe me
You believe me, you believe me
You believe me, you believe me
You believe me.

General CommentI saw Dido live this weekend (22 May 2004) in Berkeley, CA. She spoke about this song on stage before she sang it. She told us that she wrote this when she was a teenager and had just discovered sex and that it was very exciting. So this is probably about her first time.

General CommentI agree with bryan_420 - I heard her say the exact same thing when she was performing at a festival in England last summer. It's probably about her first love, her first time...

And did I mention I love it? :)

General CommentIt's a good song but not one of her best. It's still catchy but she is better at the slow sultry songs

General Commentno i think this song highlights the dance influence that her brother rollo brings from his success with Faithless. It is a dance record but i think she pulls it off excellently like her recent collaboration 'One Step Too Far.' It shows her amazing diversity

General CommentI think this is a great song, perhaps a way of expressing how you feel about someone. "...so sit on top of the world and tell me how you're feeling,
what you feel now is what I feel for you..."
