I've got a bike. You can ride it if you like.
It's got a basket, a bell that rings and
Things to make it look good.
I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it.

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world.
I'll give you anything, ev'rything if you want things.

I've got a cloak. It's a bit of a joke.
There's a tear up the front. It's red and black.
I've had it for months.
If you think it could look good, then I guess it should.

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world.
I'll give you anything, ev'rything if you want things.

I know a mouse, and he hasn't got a house.
I don't know why. I call him Gerald.
He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse.

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world.
I'll give you anything, ev'rything if you want things.

I've got a clan of gingerbread men.
Here a man, there a man, lots of gingerbread men.
Take a couple if you wish. They're on the dish.

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world.
I'll give you anything, ev'rything if you want things.

I know a room full of musical tunes.
Some rhyme, some ching. Most of them are clockwork.
Let's go into the other room and make them work.

General CommentThis song is great because it's simple, and it's sweet.
He basically meant that while he doesn't have much, a borrowed bike,
a torn cloak, a pet mouse, some cookies, music, etc. He cares about her
enough to share all that he has. He wants to be able to get to know
this girl. The only way he can do that is by bringing her into his world.

General CommentThis song is awsome. According to Roger "For its time it was so British." This is Syd Barrett at his greatest or worst how ever you look at it.

General CommentThis song is just so funny. I love it for it's quirkiness and uniqueness. It really seems to have not much of a point whatsoever, except for perhaps the chorus. The chorus really does not fit, but I love it still. In short...good funny song.

General CommentThis is one of my favourite early-floyd songs. ToolRulz, go to hell you fool this song is great. Don't even bother talking about Pink Floyd if you can't even appreciate the originality and freedom of art.

I laughed out loud at this
"yeah ok your an idiot too halflife.who the hell do u think you are?A fucking genious? "
You can't even spell the word.

General Commentits just sorta cute -- the guy is sorta shy, and he doesn't have much to offer to the girl, so he's all... "you wanna ride this bike?" and like "...maybe you want this mouse?"

General CommentI think Syd was more about creating sounds with his guitar then actual music. But as a song writer his up there with the greats. This song is just a pure joke Syd loved humour and it comes across in this

General CommentWhadyutalkinbout fools. Go back to your Flobalot Floyd all the ones that are crap.

This song is the best and is always ace everytime. Infact if it's anything by Syd and it isn't superb then it's your fault and glad for you cos it's all you deserve.

Actually, I think you'll find Floyds mime artist clown Roger the Dodger (gotta pick a mucka) said it was very 'English', not British.

And gay!? What a prize Gerald you are Tool, bet you've never even seen a ladies house. Oceanic Gaze put the mouse away in one, well done that cat.

But those that think Syd is begging, or desperate, or looking for some - sex?!! For Christs sake. Nail someone else to a cross and name me Jesus. But hoorah for Dsalmiitetn and could be defintely right. This song is absolutism in love. And each of the things he's describing that he'll give away is exactly what it is, and in what they are, they also mark stages in his life that have led him to this one thing. And as well each thing is something that altogether adds up to him and what's he's always been like.

But now I can’t be bothered.

General CommentOk, I really love this song. Until recently I just thought it was really random and stuff, but I was listening to it the other day and had an idea that made sense to me, it's probably wrong but I'm not bothered. I know it aint traditional for Floyd, but it sounds like kinda a love song? Like the guy is saying he doesn't have much, but what he's got the girl can have too. I know I'm wrong, it's just an opinion. And I love the fact that it's so English too.
