Metal and men clash once more to the end
Warriors above with the power to kill descend
Militia of blood troops of hate march to die
Soldiers of Hell veterans of death arise

[Chorus]
Prepare for attack
Your body will burn
Endless war
There's no return
Prepare for attack
Death will arrive
Your orders are clear
No way to hide
Fight till death

Senseless death of all mankind overtakes
Armored assassins destroy at will your escape
Children of sorrow are trampled into the grave
There is no future no [fucking] world to [be] save[d].

[Chorus]

[To reign in Hell]

Gods of steel unleash their destruction on man
Reign of death what is the final command
Scepters of hate are dropped upon the Earth
Clouds of terror destroy all hope of rebirth

[Chorus]
[Fight till death [Repeat x 3]]

Yep, true. Nothing but "OMG YOU DONT LISTEN TO KORN/SLIPKNOT/MCR/FOB/Generic Pop Artist(s)/Rap YOU SUCK AND YOUR MUSIC TASTE IS FALSE"

Ironic they say that, because all they listen to is what MTV/The radio/other people feed them.

Can't deny the awesomeness of old-school Slayer though!

I think what everyone here is saying is right alot of people dont apreciated the old school slayer like the finale command or the antichrist and that's a shame because there songs new and old are just wicked and i love the song and how i think it represents how most people think about war and how sensless it is but on the other hand it could be about the end of the world and how men will have to fight the evil of hell and the demons that live there but in the song whe all fail. I love this song SLAYER RULES.

Because, unfortunately, a lot of Slayer listeners are in fact Slipknot kids who only like Slayer because they heard it was "the ultimate metal band" and kinda liked Angel of Death/South of Heaven/Raining Blood/well-known Slayer songs... Sad, I know...

But anyway... those of us who truly do appreciate Slayer know (and like) this song. Old-school.

I think this song is pretty obviously about a war between men and demons, but I guess it could be interpreted as an anti-war song, kind of like Chemical Warfare.

It's sad that old-school Slayer isn't appreciated by most people. I really hate what the mainstream has done to a generation of people who might've been able to appreciate good music...

Pretty good song indeed. It describes the emotions soldiers have when faced with imminent death at the request of their commanders.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
