Ed's Uncle Elwyn!

Ed's Uncle Elwyn!

My Uncle Elwyn is tall
My Elwyn is small
My Elwyn plays a mean basketball
He's about fourty-five, maybe fifty-five, sixty
I'm not sure.
Once, he mixed me a drink
I was about five years old
It was Kool-aid and pop,
I thought that was cold
Cold meaning good
Cold's supposed to be bad
But I think that I oughta would change some things,
And change their meanings
I've been here, I've been demeaning
Once, twice, maybe three times
I asked my Uncle Elwyn
He's a mime!

He said:
Ed's Uncle Elwyn (Oo)
Ed's Uncle Elwyn (Oh)

That's E-L-W-Y-N
That's Elwyn, sing it again
That's Elwyn, sing it again
That's Elwyn, sing it again
That's Elwyn!

That's my uncle.

General CommentIt's on Rock Spectacle, on the same track as "If I Had $1000000"... and after it there's this story about the old lady...

"my dad's a bit of a nut and he's into his home movie taping. so, this is... you know it started with just a little palmcorder, and then he got the cranes... and, you know, so those are my brothers working the cranes. this is like.. its a family affair tonight. and the craz-""you think this is crazy, you should of seen it when his wife gave birth.""the craziest thing is, though-" "there were copters and everything over his house""my dad goes through so much trouble to tape the whole show, and hes only going to show it to my uncle, and he dosnt even like the band. he's gonna 'oh, no! Watch, Elwyn! you gotta see this part, Elwyn. this was great.' here's a little song about my Uncle Elwyn."

General CommentLOL, I love this song... it's so funny. ^_^ I didn't find it for awhile because I always assumed the CD was over after the 'last' song, and turned it off... um, right, there was absolutely no point to that last comment.

General CommentI'm not posetive, but i believe this song was made up partially on the spot. Ed Robertson is really good a freestyling and usually does at their concerts.
