"Wrap Your Arms Around Me" as written by and Steven/robertson Page....
I concede that you were right about this place
I can make a perfect likeness of your body if I trace
I can hold you until you turn out the light
And I can't see (ohh)

Do you believe that we are all innately good
Do you think that you would love me until tomorrow if you could
Would you please turn down the radio
So we can speak

I put my hands around your neck (you wrap your arms around me)
I put my hands around your neck (you wrap your arms around me)
I put my hands around your neck (you wrap your arms around me)
I put my hands around your neck (you wrap your arms around me)

I regret every time I raised my voice
And it wouldn't be that bright of me to say I had no choice
I can kiss your eyes, your hair, your neck
Until we forget

I concede that you were right about this place
I can make a perfect likeness of your body if I trace
I can hold you until we turn out the light
And I can't see
I can't see (ohh)

General Commenti thought it was beautiful. and then i got morbid..thinking "I put my hands around your neck" as in choking. i dunno.

General Commenti agree with muppet, i think this song is about a murder and regret. hand around your neck is mostlikely choking. He regrets when he yelled and didnt mean it. but it got out of hand and there is nothing he can do and no way to get her back. then he is left with her in his arms. All he can do is hold her in his arm.

General CommentI agree that this song is sexy. It's one of my favorite songs on Gordon.

I don't know that it's about murder, but I do think "Hands around your neck" refers to choking, if only because on the same album, the song "The Flag" has the line: "Last night, remember, when I tried to choke you".

General CommentI don't see how a song about domestic abuse is "sexy."

General CommentFor me it is a beautiful, amazing song. I find, though, that it is more of an abusive relationship rather than murder. He keeps abusing, but at the sametime he is still aloving guy afterwards. He hates that he does it , but he still does it.

General CommentFor a long time I thought "murder" in regards to this song. The line about "making a perfect likeness" of the body by tracing always reminded me of the chalk outlines at crime scenes. Although, looking at it now, domestic abuse does seem to be more in line with the rest of the lyrics.
