"Jackass" as written by and Billie Joe/wright Iii Armstrong....
To know you is to hate you
So loving you must be like suicide
I don't mind if you don't mind
I'm not the one that's going to die
I guess I just can't listen
To this one sided conversation again
'Cause I don't care if you don't care
No one ever said that life is fair

Everybody loves a joke
But no one likes a fool
And you're always cracking the same old lines again
You're well rehearsed on every verse
And that was stated clear
But no one understands your verity

The center of attention
Got an honorable mention once again
Congratulations and salutations
You're a figment of your own imagination

Everybody loves a joke
But no one likes a fool
And you're always cracking the same old lines again
You're well rehearsed on every verse
And that was stated clear
But no one understands your verity

To know you is to bait you
And you fell victim to your own denial
I don't mind if you don't mind
If you're wasting all your time

    General Comment"asses is spelled ass's"

Um, no it isn't. You also misspelled "where," "you're," "their," "harm's," "written," "tension," and "it's." Nice job, dumbass.

General CommentI don't know if this song was about Blink 182 or not, but I was looking at quotes from Mike (greendayauthority.com) and according to that website he had said:

(At Mark Hoppus of blink-182): "Stop throwing shit or I'll jump in there and beat your ass."

(Speaking of blink-182): "Seriously, at first I was happy for them, but now I find it a little irritatign. I think they trivialise what we do, and punk rock in general. It's like throwing shit in the face of something or someone that had substance at one point. Didn't one of the members marry someone from MTV? I mean, what the fuck? But if any band should be pissed off at them then isn't NOFX."

General Commentis this song about blink 182??! ive heard a few rumours that it was written about blink cuz they would always be mentioned in green day interviews and stuff. the lines 'everybody loves a fool but no one likes a fool', and your well rehearsed on every verse... etc' could be about how everyone says that theyre crap live...
it could work... 'to know you is to hate you/ so loving you would be like suicide'!

General CommentI can actually see how they would be talking about Blink182 in this song. Green Day wasn't exactly to kind to them in a few interviews during and after Pop Disaster either.

Either way, its obvious WHAT the song is about. Just not WHO.

General CommentBlink-182 don't deserve to have people being nice to them, they are ignorant assholes who think they are the best band ever. But anywho, Green Day r awsome.
