When I shadow box inside my skull
bothered by the senselessness
I wish for the messiah Indian woman, Babylon

There is one thing I will say on life we are livin, yeah
let it flow, 'cause it won't stop
and when the kind consciousness, yes, come unto you
you will know and it won't stop
when I wipe the sleep from my eyes
will my fondest dream please come true
crush my heart with a hammer make a purer one, Babylon

There is one thing I will say on life we are livin, yeah
let it flow, 'cause it won't stop
and when the kind consciousness, yes, come unto you
you will know and it won't stop

But mean people I say choke on it gagging all the way
may you remember the texture for days
but you'll get used to the feeling of your pride
of your pride, of your pride
chugalug it, chugalug it, time after time
time after time, time after time
learning your lesson, learning your lesson will do you fine
do you fine, do you fine

i think this song has a lot to do with just being positive and positive vibes and such..and just like maybe mind games...with someone dissing you..and you dream of a better place where u can escape it...something that maybe...

this is a very trippy tune....

i think this is how SA thinks that only positive people should be on earth and that he himself sometimes is negative but he always fixes that but the people who are mean all the time should suffer. and yes this is very very trippy

Yeah, i agree with both of you, this song is about all that and basically just how to find that one place in your mind and soul where you can just chill and feel great all the time, and f**k the nay sayers tryin to bring you out of that special place. This song sounds so good when your drunk or straight buzzin'. Sa's got some crucial lyrics. Am I right?

I think SA is talking about the dreams people have and if they don't work out life goes on and its not the end of the road. Make the best of things. This song is so chillen. I got one thing to say: anyone who says 311 sold out with Transistor is STUPID. This CD is bar far and away the best 311 CD. I listen to it non stop and never get tired of it. It is SO postive. You don't find much GOOD music so postive around these days. SPOKEN.

while i agree with you guys, i got something more out of it. i think the song IS about positivity and feeling great but it's also about being high. which of course as we all know is positive and makes you feel great.

"And when the kind consiousness yes come unto you You will know and it won't stop"

this part is about getting high and just going with the flow, then the song just melts into what you guys summed up.

and Soundboy you are right, Transistor is my favorite album from 311 by far.

Wow, thank you Zeppelyn, someone on here who doens't think every song is about drugs simply positivity. SA must have been doing alot of meditation during the making of this album.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
