"... On The Radio (Remember the Days)" as written by and Nelly Furtado....
Oh, ooh, oh

You liked me 'til you heard my shit on the radio
Well I hate to say but pop ain't going solo
You liked me 'til you heard my shit on the radio
But now I'm just too mainstream for you, oh no
You liked me 'til you seen me on your t.v.
Well if you're so low below then why you watching
You say good things come to those who wait
I've been waiting a long time for it

I remember the days when I was so eager to satisfy you
And be less then I was just to prove I could walk beside you
Now that I've flown away I see you've chosen to stay behind me
And still you curse the day I decided to stay true to myself

You say your quest is to bring it higher
Well I never seen change without a fire
But from your mouth I have seen a lot of burning
But underneath I think it's a lot of yearning
Your face, the colors change from green to yellow
To the point where you can't even say hello
You tell me you'd kill me if I ever snob you out
Like that's what you'd expect from me, like that's what I'm about

I remember the days when I was so eager to satisfy you
And be less then I was just to prove I could walk beside you
Now that I've flown away I see you've chosen to stay behind me
And still you curse the day I decided to stay true to myself

It's so much easier to stay down there guaranteeing you're cool
Than to sit up here exposing myself trying to break through
Than to burn in the spotlight, open fire, turn in the spitfire, open fire
Scream without making a sound, open fire, be up here without looking down, open fire
Oh afraid of heights

I remember the days when I was so eager to satisfy you
And be less then I was just to prove I could walk beside you
Now that I've flown away I see you've chosen to stay behind me
And still you curse the day I decided to stay true to myself

Myself, myself
Myself, myself
Now you're feeling me, and now you're feeling me
Myself, myself
Now you're feeling me, now you're feeling me now
Why ya hurt me hurt me hurt me hurt me hurt me hurt me so so,
Myself, myself
Leave me down down down down low leave me
Myself, myself
Down da down down da down da down down down
Myself, myself
Shit on the radio, shit on the radio, shit on the radio,
Myself, myself
Shit on the radio, shit on the radio, shit on the radio,
Shit on the radio

General Commenti think this is for her fans who are bieng judgemental and saying shes pop cause shes well known and not underground ....and shes saying that shes worked hard and waited long enough ....and i think shes saying youll never grow as a person if you dont take risks..

General CommentI think this song is about Nelly's experiences before she become popular. That they liked her before she was famous and when she became famous they got jealous of her fame and sucess in the singing/radio business.

General CommentNope, i think she used to be into the whole underground scene and she still sort of is... i think it's about this guy who was her friend..or something...which explains the line " you liked me until you saw me on your t.v...well, if you're so low below then why are yo watching???" so low below means "if you're so underground then why are you watching the t.v???"

General CommentI think this song is directed to some who she was friends with before she became famous. "Green to yellow.." they were envious of her record deal and her talent, and then they got sick of seeing her. Maybe because every time they see her on TV, on a magazine cover, they're reminded of what could've been theirs, or who could've been their friend if they hadn't been so jealous. Just my interpretation.

General CommentLet her sing whatever she wants to. If she wants to swear, let her. It's called "freedom of speech."

General Commentthis song is kinda like "Know It All" by Lagwagon. check it out if you like this song.
defending yourself that you went mainstream...well, the people who knew of their music before they went big need to keep it real and not cry about it.

General CommentIn response to the whole swearing issue brought up by Ms. Michelle 23, I see think the word "shit" is used very decently. "Shit" adds a certain vernacular feeling to the song that couldn't be accomplished in same way if a word like "junk" or "crap" were substituted. Say to yourself, "You liked me till’ you heard my junk on the radio." it just doesn't have the same feel or flow to it. "Shit" also is a much easier to say quickly and tersely to make everything fit together more smoothly. That's it. I'm done ranting.
