"In The Meantime" as written by and Justin Currie....
And in the end we shall achieve in time
The thing they call divine
And all the stars will shine for me
When all is well and well is all for all
Forever after
Living in the meantime wait and see

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

And when I cry for me I cry for you
With tears of holy joy
For all the days still to come
And did I ever say I'd never play
Or fly toward the sun
Living in the meantime something's gone

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

Well that sounds fine so I'll see you sometime
Give my love to the future of the humankind
Okay, okay, it's not okay
While it's on my mind there's a girl that fits the crime
For a future love dream that I'm still to find
But in the meantime

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

We love the all the all of you
Our lands are green and skies are blue

Just like you
Just like you
Just like, just like
Just like you
Just like you
Just like, just like
Just like you

General CommentI get the impression the song's taking the tone of some monumental galactic message to the human race, a calming, peace-bringing signal from a benevolent race that says "We'll meet you eventually when you're ready, and there are amazing things to share between the stars, but in the meantime..."

Given the band's name and its debts to glamrock and predecessors who dealt with big ideas in their music, it seems that's as likely an explanation as any. Particularly the build-up leading to the end of the song, where the vocals get more intense and we hear "...we're just like you, just like you, just like you...we're just like YOU..." as the song ends.

I think the chorus could be the central message to the human race:

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

From other sentient beings who think it's amazing and wonderful that there's other intelligent life between the long dark expanses of space.

General CommentThis song seems to be about God to me. About taking care of mankind and all that. This song totally feels like grade 8 and all that when I used to listen to Big Shiny Tunes. But it's not on BST so I dunno, haha, but it's sweet either way.

General CommentTo me this song is about the future of mankind when we are all at peace and loving each other. The whole things talking about how great it will be in the future. "in the meantime" or until then we will have to wait and see.

General Commentthis song is about our time on earth. the first verse says were eventually going to die but in the meantime were here on earth. the chorus is refering to the earth in we love the all the all of you. it also talks about the dying part of leaving earth when it talks about giving the love to the future of humankind. cherish your time here

General CommentIt's about God - the 'all of you'. And yes in the meantime love what he gave you, including your future love crime girl (love being the closest to God you'll ever get on Earth).

Song MeaningI feel like this is about 2 groups of friends, with one being purely boys, and the other all girls, and that its about these two groups beginning to all kind of like each other but only some of them really admit what they feel. (we love the all of you). I think it's also about being bored in school and doing stuff like looking at girls and daydreaming to get through the day.
