"Episode 666" as written by and Jesper Claes Haakan/gelotte Stroemblad....
Welcome here, the squirrel-wheel begins
Fasten the left hand belts
Remember not to think too much
And your trip will be numbingly pleasant

Non-caring is the easiest way
But to secure a passage to the 2nd plane
You have to complete level one
Their dead-smile lips turn on their TV
While urban gravestones scrape the skies
Rising over marionette cities and marionette skies

This is episode six six six
Destination chaos
Each and all an actor blind

General CommentI think this song is about how the media numbs our senses. The 666 reference is not necessarily demonic. It's more about how we allow ourselves to get wrapped up in everything we see and hear on television, radio, video games. These things collectively become our anti-God, drawing us into their debauchery. Of course, I could be way off. These guys don't even speak English as their first language. But this album is absolutely incredible. There's no filler to be found. Every song is worthy of praise and chock-full of musicianship.

General Comment666 reffered to "the beast" which, arguable, popular media has become. Perhaps it's use could be an allution to the evil and unstobable nature of media?

General CommentI have to agree with the religion idea. I used to follow the christian religion because that's what I was raised to believe, but as I got older I realized how screwed up it was. If you look through the bible, the actual basis of christianity isn't that bad, but during the dark ages the bible and the religion were endlessly censored and twisted by the Roman government, and that gave the roman catholic church almost absolute power in most of europe. It was just a big power play. And of course with Bush today...

General CommentI think it's about people that don't think for themselves and are to lazy. People that could easily be controlled by the media. The guitars are great in this song. It's a very intellectual death metal song.

General CommentI personally do not think this has nothing to do with a hypothetical Satan, don't get me wrong, it might be about the powerful media, but all of their well written and performed songs have the allusion of evil and death.
