"Morphing Into Primal" as written by and Jesper Claes Haakan/gelotte Stroemblad....
Detonation
Fireworks and alchemy
Genes spliced and triggered
Into the future and her organic cave

Seismorgasmic omnipotence
Scenes of magma in my eyes
Eruption stones my system

I owe this to the animal inside
And the stiffness that blocks out the daylight
Morphing into primal

I'll cover every particle from there to Andromeda
Not forgetting a single location
From the throat of Ibis to the co-ordinate of Matterhorn

My shot is genesis and catharsis
Penetratonaut in a cosmology of lust

Suck this subterranean creature out
And show it proudly to the house of heaven
With one slight wave of my hand star dissolves

Dissolve my brain
Block my lungs
I'll die from fever tomorrow
When locked in synch a perfected "now"

General CommentIt's about sex. Think about it.. the stiffness that blocks out the light? but really...

    Detonation
    fireworks and alchemy
    Genes spliced and triggered
    into the future
    and her organic save
    Seismorgasmic omnipotence
scenes of magma in my eyes
    Eruption stones my system

This bit is about the orgasm - its like an eruption into the girls 'organic cave'. your genes in it are 'spliced and triggered' into the future - a child. The fireworks and alchemy would explain the feeling i guess.

General Commentwhy no comments here?? this is a very good song..
ahh well i have very hard to understand the meaning of the lyrics here.. (though, i'm just a shitty IF-fan without brain, haha) way too deep for me.. however it's probably something about morphing into primal.. Lol

General CommentThis song is obviously about letting the animal inside you out, so to speak..
I dont know what Matterhorn or Andromeda means, but it's not very important to the lyrics.

generally, the theme of this song is about willingly or unwillingly letting your primitive instincts taking hold of you.

General Commenti believe that this song somewhat fits into the concept of Whoracle. it comes directly after Jester Script (i think) which is about the cyborg dystopia thing. and so i think the narrator is sick of the artificial life which he is living so he essentially morphs into primal. i believe it's pretty important to the plot, but i can't figure out much about it.

General CommentI recently found out that Matterhorn is a huge mountain in Switzerland.
A metaphorical Matterhorn would therefore be something big or awe-inspiring

General Commentcall me crazy but i believe this song could have something to do with smoking pot. they talk about it in other songs like Resin, but i think with "eruption stones my system" and "dissolve my brain, block out my lungs," you can kind of see where i'm coming from, i hope. i can very well see it being about having sex, though; good point, with "penetratonaut" being the best example of why that's most likely true.

General CommentI think some of you may be right in that it implies sex, but tha's not what the whole thing is about. The song is about giving into natural 'primal' instincts. Maybe its the kind of basic instincts humans developed before they were civilized and were just a bunch of neanderthal types. I think the main message Anders and Niklas are trying to get across is how monstrous and stupid humans are when they give in to their instincts of war and sex.
First stanza is the detonation of his instincts. Fireworks i think are a metaphor for the insticts that are being detonated. Not certain about alchemy, maybe it refers to the chemistry of our genes, or maybe the fireworks. Genes means they are our natural instincts encoded in us. The X and Y chromosomes are split when sperm are made, so that's what spliced means, then they are triggered in her organic cave or vagina. The genes are also passed on to the child, and will be triggered in the future. Seismorgasmic omnipotence: Seismo-earthquakes, orgasmic-pleasureful, omnipotence-power. His power is really orgasmic, or as pleasureful as earthquakes. Scenes of magma describes how chaotic he feels, and relates to eruptions, and basically takes over his body system.
The chorus relates to the theme and what I said at the beginning: Animal instincts that blocks the daylight, or any logic or sense. He is morphing into his animal side.
I'll cover every particle from there to Andromeda means he's going wild and is going to destroy everything everywhere, and not going to forget a single location. From the throat of Ibis to the co-ordinate of Matterhorn are just fancy words that further describe how he's going everywhere.
My shot either means his weapon like he's shooting something, or it's a shot like the injection. I think it is the latter because that would explain Penetratonaut. The shot is penetrating him. Anyway, its a shot of genesis or the beginning of something, and catharsis or the release of his repressed instincts. Genesis is the beginning or cosmology of lust, lust for power. I think this another spot where sexual urges are implied, because of penetrate and lust.
The subterrenean creature is another metaphor for the instincts, but I dont know why they would be proudly shown to heaven. Maybe he is proud to have it sucked out of him finally. With one slight wave of his hand describes how quickly his stars dissolve. Stars mean intelligence and basically the good parts of the human mind, just as they were used in the hive "to disarm the stars within us."
His brain (intelligence, logic, sense) is dissolved. His lungs are blocked, he is slowly dying from the animal inside. The final line, "when locked in such a perfected now", I think is the moral, or why the animal inside has been triggered. I think that he's trying to say that when people live in a utopia where there are no wars, the animal inside is repressed and dies to be let free.
My theory on how this fits into the overall Whoracle story, is that not only are the cyborgs destroying the humans (Jester Script Transfigured), but also other humans that have gone wild in an anarchy, as will be described in Worlds Withing the Margin.

General CommentI'd have to agree pretty much along the lines of what xJotunx said. Whoracle is, essentially, about the decline of humanity and our planet. A lot of the album is about the world revolving around a machine age and humans having no point anymore. Morphing Into Primal is simply speaking about returning to the purest form of humanity there ever was.

General Commenti think it is about we have some quilt with the animal inside as we try to reject it when puting on a mask in this selfdestructing society whoracle is about.. we worry too much about ways to control live..
so the rejected animal (never put wild beasts in a cage...)
tries to break out and that causes chaos..
i think this song tells us to live with our animals inside, accepting our darks side and return to the old meaning of life.. sex.. the primal thing (instead of ruining this world)
