How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
Love, soft as an easy chair
Love, fresh as the morning air
One love that is shared by two
I have found with you
Hey
Like a rose under the April snow, oh, yeah, oh, yeah
I was always certain love would grow, oh
Love, ageless and evergreen (ever, evergreen and seldom seen)
Seldom seen by two
You and I will make each night a first
Every day a new beginning oh
Every day a beginning
Darling, do you know you make my spirits rise?
Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed
Ooh, they warm and excite us, oh
'Cause we have the brightest love
Two lives that shine as one
Morning glory and midnight sun
(Time) Time, we've learned to sail above, oh, oh
(Time) Time won't change the meaning of, one love
Ageless and ever (ever, ever)
Evergreen (evergreen)
Evergreen
Love, fresh as the morning air
One love that is shared by two
I have found with you
Hey
Like a rose under the April snow, oh, yeah, oh, yeah
I was always certain love would grow, oh
Love, ageless and evergreen (ever, evergreen and seldom seen)

That´s beautiful when you are in love and after the years you feel the same
This is a beautiful song dedicated to love. It's full of lovely similes! I remember using this song for a school poetry project I had to bring in good examples of similes. Similes are A figure of speech in which two things are compared using the word “like” or “as.”
Love soft as an easy chair
Love fresh as the morning air
Like a rose under the April snow
All of the lyrics are happy, yet the song is sad. So genius!
