"Say Just Words" as written by Nicholas John Holmes and Gregory John Mackintosh....
You get high, with your destructive instinct
You get high, with your corrosive instinct
Where can I go, to escape your foul mind tricks
You're trying it more, but you will never break me
Cause you presume, the winner's you but that's not true

So say just words to me, unreal what your hate's providing
Say just words to me, your talk is always contradiction
Say just words to me, you won't feel the warmth of friends around you
You say just words to me, is it true that there's worth inside
So say just words to me.

Your designs, all the worse from power craving
Your desires, only where there's fire burning,
I'll show you the way, a pleasure that's for the taking
You're trying it more, but you won't get satisfaction
Cause you presume the winner is you, but that's not true
So say just words to me.

General Comment(Once again) I read an interview with Nick where he said that this song was a reaction to the way people (especially "up North" in his own words) didn't want the band to succeed and were badmouthing them.

General CommentOnce again, it could be about drug addiction also, perhaps there's a lot of double-entendre and different interpretations are possible...

General CommentSounds a lot like politics nowadays. Kick ass song, great lyrics. Wish the idiots in political offices would listen to it and maybe come to some realization about the way their country feels about them..

General CommentBest PL song without a doubt.

And yeah, I can completely see how it would be directed at someone who tries to tear you down. It's actually fairly obvious.

"Where can I go to escape your foul mind tricks?"
"You're trying it more, but you will never break me/but you will never get satisfaction."

    Very strong song.

"'Cause you presume the winner is you but that's not true."
I love that line so much.
