Well, say that you'll be mine, well, say that you'll be mine
Well, say that you'll be mine, baby, all the time, Susie Q

Who do true two you blue who
Oh, Susie Q, oh, Susie Q

I like the way you walk, I like the way you talk

General CommentIf you have seen Apocalypse Now, esp. Redux, you will recall the scene where this song is used, whenever you hear it. CCR has become synonymous with the anti-Viet Nam movie. Start with Run thru the Jungle and Fortunate One.

General CommentI agree music maghine, this song seems cheesey but deep down everyone likes it. Old school rock and roll man. Cool guitar riff too. Love it!

General CommentYeah, its basically old school rock and roll. One of those songs where you dont need lyrics or just repeat them to rip out some beautiful licks on the guitar.

General CommentIt was written by Dale Hawkins, a rockabilly singer. Apparently his version had a short resurgence in popularity after these guys covered it.

General CommentThough this is a cover, I do like this version better. I love the fade in and how Fogerty's vocals have a bit of reverb in them. Pretty simple meaning, but damn does the song just roll.

    1. A drug street name Suzie Q aka Seroquel, very strong drug, but also used to treat schizophrenia, psychotic disorder, depression, etc. The 'high' effect does not last over a few months when taken daily.

    2. About a girl (a drug user since the name of the song is also the street name of the drug.
