"Animal Lover" as written by Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler....
I see you're moving see you're moving moving in with her
You'll pierce your right ear pierce your heart here
The skinny boy is one of the girls
'Cause around my neck and around her neck hangs everything you are
I know you've been inside but what were you in for?

Animal lover animal lover animal lover?

I see you're moving see you're moving like wildlife from the waist
But when your name's scratched in on a shiny ring
Your waist is my resting place
And around my neck and around her neck hangs everything you are
I know you've been inside but what were you in for?

Animal lover, animal lover, animal lover?

General CommentJustine's amazing just like Brett and Damon. I love them all, except Justine more because she's a girl and I'm not.

General CommentAs I heard it, this was about the time Frischmann was seeing both Anderson and Albarn at the same time, on and off. Apparently the two would send each other "messages", in an attempt at one-upmanship, in the form of bites and scratches on Frishcmann's body...

General Commenti've read in a few places that this song is another about Damon Albarn. If true it would be another song poking fun at the Blur singer due to his relationship with Brett Anderson's ex Justine Frishmann.

General CommentI've heard that this song was written by Brett at the stage when Justine was still officially his girlfriend, and she one night returned to him with scratch marks down her back due to a passionate afternoon with Damon.

    General Commentjustine's a no-talent ho.
aside from that, bernard's guitar is incredible on this track as it takes us to the climactic ending.
