"Nature_1" as written by and Matthew James Bellamy....
Conforming on a Monday
Too often and too cold
But you aren't even listening
Because you are just

Too old to feel an earthquake
Or too cool to even care
But you aren't even listening
So why should I?

You are
A natural disaster
And I've wanted you too much
And now I'm gonna lose
I've wanted you too much
And now I've gotta choose

You're the cause of all this
And I'm sick of trying to please you
And you're gonna feel my emotions coming
Because you're the world

Like a broken dam you're empty
And all that's left are the sticks and stones
That were built by other people
And it really shows
But you aren't even listening
Because you are just

Too old to feel an earthquake
Or too cool to even care
But you aren't even listening
So why should I?

You are
A natural disaster
And I've wanted you too much
And now I'm gonna lose
I've wanted you too much
And now I've gotta choose

You're the cause of all this
And I'm sick of trying to please you
And you're gonna feel my emotions coming
Because you're the world

General CommentWhy would he want God too much?

This girl's feelings are all messed up, she has a boyfriend, but she doesn't love him, but stays with him because that's what you 'should'.

She loves another man, the man who sings this song. This guy, has been very nice to her, always been trying to please her, but now he realizes she's going to stick with her boyfriend, so he's pissed.

He's bashing her through the entire song, and he claims that he doesn't care about her, because she doesn't care about him. He claims that she's built on other people's good things - she's a wannabe. But since he really still cares for her, he sings "You're the world".

    Relate to it, it's perfect.

    General Commentits about God.
hints: "too old to feel an earthquake, too cool to even care. but you aren't even listening, so why should I?" these deal with Matt's disbelief and near anger in how he should be expected to listen to a God who doesnt seem to hear any of his prayers or his cries.

"like a broken dam your empty, and all thats left are the sticks and the stones that were built by other people"
this is in reference to what society has made God into. To him, he must seem broken and empty. society has made God out to be glorious, but he just doesnt see it, he sees everyone elses delusions about HIM.

General CommentHe could very well be talking about the God that most people understand but Bellamy, based on his other songs, isn't going to start bashing God.

General CommentYeah, I'd agree with theoracle, he's using words that could relate to him singing about god, but it's directed towards a person.
