"Feeling Good (Nina Simone cover)" as written by and Anthony Newley Leslie Bricusse....
Birds flying high you know how I feel
Sun in the sky you know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by you know how I feel

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Fish in the sea you know how I feel
River running free you know how I feel
Blossom in the trees you know how I feel

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me

Stars when you shine you know how I feel
Scent of the pine you know how I feel
Oh freedom is mine
And you know how I feel

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

General CommentI always thought Muse's cover of this song was extremely sarcastic. I think theres a little bit of maliciousness in this song. I don't think this song is actually about generally feeling good?

General CommentA Nina Simone original so Muse cannot do it justice, but it's still good. On a personal note, this has been playing all night so I'm guessing you've made your plans for the weekend. Toss in some more Kings of Leon and the like and I'm quite sure you'll be good to go. (Just stay gone!)

General CommentThe build of this song was done incredibly well. It gets you so high, emotionally, then just drops off again. So so very well-done, musically.

Lyric CorrectionIt is "scent of the pine", not "said I'll be fine".

General CommentI think this is a cover version but I don't know who did the original version. Matt Bellamy decided to record this song because he wanted a song on Origin of Symmetry to be about giving someone love without wanting anything in return.
