"The Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades" as written by and Patrick Lee Mac Donald....
I study nuclear science
I love my classes
I got a crazy teacher, he wears dark glasses
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
I'm doing all right, getting good grades
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades

I've got a job waiting for my graduation
Fifty thou a year, buys a lot of beer
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
I'm doing all right, getting good grades
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades

Well I'm heavenly blessed and worldly wise
I'm a peeping-tom techie with x-ray eyes
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
I'm doing all right, getting good grades
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades

I study nuclear science
I love my classes
I got a crazy teacher, he wears dark glasses
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
I'm doing all right, getting good grades
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades

General CommentI swear I heard this one was all about the futility of being successful in a world where they could drop the bomb at any point. So it's supposed to be kinda tongue in cheek and junk.

General CommentThe first time I heard it was when I watched the movie "I was A Teenage Vampire" (AKA "My Best Friend Is A Vampire), and in one of the scenes there, the song was played, and I thought it was a cool song. And it really fitted the scene - when he finally "accepted" that he was a vampire, and got some 80's shades. How much I liked that movie..

    Anyway, very cool song.
I do feel you have to be in good mood to listen to it. And the video is pretty weird.
