this is the first time that i've ever told the truth before
scrutinize what we call fate
belief in more of what's been forced into subconscious's
hold my breath, hope to refrain
is love an infection?
or a sick addiction?
when there's nowhere left to run to
is love an infection?
or a sick addiction?
when there's nowhere left
this crush is broken
her empty needle is my unsharpened sword
i stab, i stab, i stab, but i can't puncture
don't wanna read it, don't wanna feel it
don't wanna hear it, don't even wanna think about it
hold my breath, hope to refrain
and if i can't afford here my veins begin to ache
i don't wanna feel this pain no more
well have you ever felt so high
that when you came down you broke inside
i know she won't take the blame, blame
you love me, you rip my heart out
you've broken me for too long now

General CommentI love this song I think it means he wants her soo much that she's killing him, and he can't have her so he thinks its an addiction, and she won't take the blame that he likes her.....why not? lol

General CommentI think this song is about how he loves a girl and she uses drugs maybe ... and she got him into it. This is my favorite RX bandits song by far ... it's beauitful and I cant believe there's only one comment on it. It's such a great song ... *sigh*

General CommentI think this is about how his girl uses drugs and how he doesn't want to love her but he does. This song is utterly amazing and RX Bandits should be given an award or something. The horn solos are amazing too. Anyway I think she introduced him to his addiction, and he's wondering if loves an infection, or a sick addiction (like how he's "addicted" to her) This is the best song by the RX Bandits I think ... and one of my favorites period.

General Commentwell some of the song lyrics are wrong but thats ok you still get the same point. My opinion about this song is when he uses she or her he is really talking about heroine. He is telling us how he doesnt want to love it ,feel it , hear it , or think about it anymore but he has no choice cause he is infected. Hes telling us he doesnt want to depend on it anymore but when he isnt on it he hurts inside so he is trying to figure out if its love or more of a curse.

General CommentI have a different idea about the meaning of this song.
I think he is actually comparing love or this girl to a drug addiction. So maybe he’s saying when he’s with this girl he gets a sort of high and is happy. Then when he cant be with her he’s in pain and feels like he needs her. I dunno if my theory is right but the line “Is LOVE an infection” makes it seem like it could be right. Also the line “if I cant afford HER my veins begin to ache” adds to that idea.
and yeah nate on infection was awesome
