My name is Mud
Not to be confused with Bill or Jack or Pete or Dennis
My name is mud and it's always been
'Cause I'm the most boring sons-a-bitch you've ever seen

I dress in blue-yes navy blue
From head to toe I'm rather drab except my patent shoes
I make 'em shine, well most the time
'Cept today my feet are troddin' on by this friend of mine

Six foort two and rude as hell
I got to get him in the ground before he starts to smell

My name is Mud

My name is Mud,
But call me Alowishus Devadander Abercrombie
That's long for Mud, so I've been told
Told that by this sonsabitch that lies before me bloated blue and cold

I've got my pride, I drink my wine
I'd drink the finest except I haven't earned a dime in several months
Or were it years
The breath on that fat bastard could bring any man to tears

We had our words, a common spat
So I kissed him upside the cranium with an aluminum baseball bat

My name is Mud

I just want to say that Les Claypool is the best bassplayer of all time. No questions asked.

...AHAHA!!! This song rules, and Les... oh my god. Bass was just another part of the band before I listened to this song. This caused the bass to really redeme itself in my eyes.

What a HUGE load of crap.... why have you sent here these messages only to criticize Les? Just go away if you think that Justin, Paul and Flea could be more interesting for you... I should say that Primus and Tool are actually 2 of my favourite bands, but I don't see a single reason for all this mess!

However, My Name Is Mud is a great song, although the meaning is not so clear... can you just imagine about Flea playing with Primus, Justin playing with RHCP and Les playing with Tool!? Think about it =)

Your all fucking Retarded. If you like the song it's obviously about a man that insulted him and how he lives. his name is not literally Mud, it's a way to show that the man called him worthless and good for nothing, so he killed him. Song doesnt have much meaning but even you retards cant figure it in the slightest. and also who cares? they are all good bassists and all kick ass.

Sounds like we need a "Bass-Off"!! I'd like to nominate Fat Mike From NOFX. Listen to "The Decline" or "Glass War" to hear why. Let's not forget John Entwhistle and Jaco Pastorious. They're dead but still.

Damn, I hate retards, tehpressman. Let me point out a few things. 1."Flea is a really generic funk style bass player." You're obviously too ignorant to realize that Flea invented the fast funk slap like he does it. Before he made it fast like that, there was no real fusion between funk and rock. Not to mention the fact that he can stand there and improvise funk slap solos for hours and never run out of original ideas.

    1. "While Danny Carey (I'm assuming you meant Justin or Paul) is good, there isn't anything original to his style, and there sure as hell isn't anything original about Tool in general." Listen to Schism and then come back and tell me there is nothing original about the bass playing in Tool.
    2. "Maynard James Keenan is an overrated singer, and doesn't even play any instruments." Maynard plays guitar on the current tour, and has probably done it before. Retard.

To me the best bass player is actually Victor Wootin, who plays for Bela Fleck and The Flecktones. If you ever get a chance to hear his version of Amazing Grace, you'll think Les Claypool just started playing/slapping yesterday.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
