i could cry,
my time has come and i am stupid forever sad,

is it you god telling me to go away?
is it you god telling me to leave this place?
but i thought i could combine with you,
and i need you all the time,
and i thought it was ok with you,
her mask is in my dreams at night,

but i thought i could escape with you,
planet asylum keeps me down,

i could cry,
my time has come and i am stupid forever sad,
i could cry, my time has come and i am stupid forever,
you amaze me more than you could know,
and i need you all the time,
laying stars you make me dream of bliss,
and i've loved you all the time.

I...... could cry, my time has come and i am stupid forever sad,
i could cry, my time has come and i am stupid forever....
you amaze me more than you could know,
and i need you all the time,
laying stars you make me dream of bliss,
and i've loved you all the time.

this song means so much to me...it also depresses the hell out of me for certain reasons. It's about realising that a relationship that both people thought could work for a time can't work in my opinion. That's probably just the way i see it cos it happened to me...

her mask is an awesome song. it is so powerful and shows that inme isn't all about growling and screaming. i honestly thought this song was about god when i first heard it, but no one else seems to agree with me. "is it u GOD telling me to leave this place" and when he sings "and i thought it was ok with you," it was if Dave was asking god if he didn't mind him loving this girl so much! maybe i read it all wrong but that is what i got from it any way.

This is just the best InMe song ever. They played this when I went to see them live, and at the time I could relate to it so much. Amazing show, this was just a nice change from the usual InMe stuff which is also extremely good.

"Laying stars you make me dream of bliss, And ive loved you all the time"

    Beautiful...

It makes me think of a guy who thought his girlfriend wanted to sleep with him but really she didn't, "and i thought it was ok with you" and now she won't have anything to do with him and he's freaking out because he loves her and all he wants is to make her happy but she thinks all he wants is sex. And he's getting upset and asking God what it's all about because he had no clue why she won't even listen to him and how he misread the signs so badly. And he knows she still loves him really "her mask" and he knows he hurt her and he hates himself for it. "I am stupid and forever sad" ...crazy theory or believable?

I relate to this song cos when me and my ex were still friends he said that he thought he liked one girl and I got deppresed and didn't talk to him for ages cos I loved him.. one day a friend told me that he wanted me to listen this song cos it expressed just how he felt, that he needed and loved me... so I guess, it's about some guy who broke the heart of the one he cared most... and now hates himself for doing that... and this song is like a way to say sorry to her.. that he still loves her Anyway.. this is one of the best inme songs.. I love it so much ^^

This is the best song ever, its my favourite, Dave has the best voice its beautiful! I think its about a boy who has parted from someone and is deverstated, he doesn't know why it has ended this way, " Is it you God telling me to leave this place" He could have made a mistake " I am stuoid forever sad" he has to leave due to something he has done and regrets it. When Dave sings " You amaze me more than you could know" it's so emotinal the way he sings it even though they are simple lyrics, his voice sounds even better live. Its really sad as it shows how he loves someone so much but he can't be with someone.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
