200 years and still it seems that we have not learned anything. there is amongst the white a feeling of superiority. looking to our flag, i understand the reason there is still a deep hurting inside that can never die. until we realise this about the past. to look at it in disgust. it must not be glorified. pride in our country, built on violence, racism and slavery? onward to a new identity. forward to a republican democracy.
