As Jalaludin Rumi has prophesied
This day
This day Allah
Allah will make his presence known to you

There is a miracle in the bazaar
There is a miracle in the bazaar
There a spirit appeared in flaming green
Mamun the madman is cured

Praise be to Allah
Praise be to Allah
There is no God but God
There is no God but God

Song MeaningThe "miracle in the bazaar" is Rumi's first meeting on November 29, 1244 in the bazaar with Shams-i Tabrizi, his later co-mentor and muse who sent him reeling with a mystical question. Flaming green suggests the initiatic immortal saint al-Khidr, the Green One, but here probably means Shems. The name Mamun is suppossed to be Majnun, "the mad" who became mad through his love for Layla--of whom Eric Clapton has sung.
