"I Will Keep My Head Down" as written by and Dinand Woesthoff....
Come down, closer
I know this is everlasting
Somehow closer along the way

So much, now this
And I feel worse than I have ever felt
And I know you say you'll find a way

And I will pray for you
I will keep my head down

And I will keep my head down and I'll follow
Keep my head down and I'll follow
Keep my head down
I will keep my head down
For you
Keep my head down

My will is empty
I'm counting every minute every hour every day
And I see you slowly fade along the way

Come down, closer
I know this is everlasting
I know you say you'll find a way

I will stay
But you oh
I will keep my head down
For you

And I will keep my head down and I'll follow
Keep my head down and I'll follow
Keep my head down
And I will keep my head down
For you
I will keep my head down
For you

And though I'm spinning and I can't sleep
These thoughts around me
When all I've given you means nothing, nothing
And though I'm spinning and I can't speak
I cannot bring you back

So stream on, through me
I know this is everlasting
Words mean so much along the way

And I will keep my head down and I'll follow
Keep my head down and I'll follow
Keep my head down
I will keep my head down
I will keep my head down
I will keep my head down
For you
For you
For you
I, I said I will keep my head down

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

I will, I will, I will, I will yeah
Keep my head down for you

General CommentDinand, the leadsinger of the band, wrote this song for his loved ones that passed away. And there were a lot of those in his life. It's about dealing with the death of someone you love.

    "My will is empty
    I'm counting ev'ry minute ev'ry hour ev'ry day
And I see you slowly fade along the way"

That part particularly emphasizes this. When you lose someone that meant a lot to you, you're actually counting every minute, every hour, every day and as time passes their face fades away, their voice fades away. Everything just fades. Except for that feeling, that burning feeling. That feeling of emptiness. You just miss that person so much. Time goes by SO slowly.

"And though I'm spinning and I can't sleep
    These thoughts around me
When all I've given you means nothing, nothing
And though I'm spinning and I can't sleep
    I cannot bring you back"

You can't sleep, you can't eat, you don't want to sleep, you don't want to eat, you don't wanna do anything after you've lost someone that close to you. You just want them back. You wanna be held by them again, you wanna hear their voice again, see them laugh again, or even cry, as long as they're here again.

A beautiful song this is. It's a pitty because Dinand's voice is much better Live, than it is on the cd. I love to watch him live because he puts SO much emotion in his music, he really truly LIVED what he's singing about, he KNOWS what he sings about, he FEELS what he is singing. And watching that is breathtaking. It sometimes even feels as if I'm invading his privacy because he can get SO deep into the music that you can't do anything else than go there with him. Specially if you've been through what he's singing about.

I know that no two experiences of two different people are the same. Trust me I realise that. But at the same time I know what he is singing about, particularly in this song, because I've been unfortunate enough as to lose loved ones of mine too.

I can't put in to words how much I admire Dinand for being able to get up on stage and sing about these things. I know I couldn't. I could never display myself like that to the world, I could never put my heart out there for the world to see.

The concerts are for like 40.000 people and he just does that, he gets up there and sings about these things and gets into his music SO deep that he barely realises there are people around him.

I dunno what else to say. I respect him. And I love his voice. I love the bands music. I just love Kane. They rock!
