"Scatterheart" as written by Bjork Gudmundsdottir, Sirgurjon Birgir Sigurdsson and Lars Von Trier....
Black night is fallen
The sun has gone to bed
The innocent are dreaming
As you should sleepyhead
Sleepyhead
Sleepyhead
All the love above
I send into you
Comfort and protection (I'll watch over you)
But don't ask me what's gonna happen next
I know the future
I'd love to read you the way (Just to make it easier on you)
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
My dearest scatter heart
Serious comfort
Right in the eye of the hurricane
Just to make it easier on you
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
Ah huh huh huh huh
All the hurt in the world
You know there's nothing I'd love to do more
Then spare you from that burden (It's gonna be hard)
If I only could
Shelter you from that pain (Just to make it easier on you)
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself (Ah huh huh huh)
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
Ah huh huh huh

General CommentDamn, I could relate too much to this song... Well that's how I feel especially towards children.

Think Radiohead's "Scatterbrain" is some sort of a tribute to this song?

General CommentThis is wanting to protect someone from the world, but realizing the very simple notion that you can't. If you learn to live through the storms you'll find yourself so much better off.
Protecting someone from the world is keeping them from growth.
Beautiful song, to say the least.

General CommentPersonally, I prefer the movie version to this one. Probably 'cause I heard it first. But I do still like both.

General CommentHa. I laughed after I saw the movie and then listened to this song.

I love how the line "You just did what you had to do" in the movie is "You're gonna have to find out for yourself" in the soundtrack. It's like Bjork is saying "Watch the damn movie!"

General CommentI love this movie...i think the movie version of this song is better. It so heart breaking..especially the end when she sings "i just did what i had to do" over and over again....you can feel the pain in her voice. Gives me goosebumps everytime. If you havent seen this movie...i recommend you do!!!
