"Did You Know?" as written by Garfield R. Bright Jr., Marc D. Gay, Carl E. Martin and Darnell Andre Van Rensalier....
He's an artist, She's a dentist
I'm a musician, She's an obstetrician
She does the books, He does probate
He does construction, I'm an electrician
She's a student, She's an infant
I'm a homemaker so I don't get paid
He's a trucker, She's an actor
We're all fools and we all get played

Did you know there was a time on this land?
Before there was any profession
Did you know there was a time on this land?
Before we traded freedom in for an easy life
Now all we have is tons of shinny toys
And semi-voluntary servitude
And the hope that if we slave and save
Before we reach our grave we'll have enough
To avoid the state run geriatric hospital

I don't wanna die alone
You don't wanna die alone
We're all gonna die alone
We're all gonna die so far away from home
It's the natural consequence of living inside a society, that believes
That because you live in isolation, it means you're free

He's a painter, She's a gardener
He collects cans on the side of the freeway
She a technician, He a politician
He sells drugs so you know he gets paid
I'm a writer, He's a rock star
He works in prison so he don't get paid
Fritz is a rocker, Laura sells her boyfriend

Did you know there was a time on this land?

General Commenti think fifteen is one of the most under-appreciated bands. they can really fucking rock and not too many people seem to notice.
