her father had worked all his life
her mother was a good housewife
inspiration i need
it's a girl star i need

daddy said all men were workers
girls should look sweet, be good mothers

girls on tv thin & pretty
fronting bands while acting flirty

she looked through all her teenage mags
five foot eight, 34c bras

most girl models & baywatch stars
nice long legs & and nice trim arse

she was quite small & quite chubby
she was now abnormal this way

why no natural girls in bands?
all four males sounding very bland

just wanna have fun be herself
female role model for some help

so now she's in her own pop band
got a single out which wasn't planned

so maybe more will follow her
will things be equal in the future?

General CommentIt's a testament to the cookie-cutter world of pop music and entertainment, and a girl who tries to change it. Possibly about Manda herself? She decides she isn't like the other girls, and doesn't try to be. Unlikely for others to follow her lead, but that is what she hopes for.
