Everywhere I hear the sound of marching feet, boy
Cause summer's here and the time is right for fighting in the street, boy
But what can a poor boy do
'Cept to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
Cause in sleepy London town
There's just no place for a street fighting man
No !

Hey ! Think the time is right for a palace revolution
But where I live the game to play is compromise solution
Well, what can a poor boy do
'Cept to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
Cause in sleepy London town
There's just no place for a street fighting man
No ! No ! No !
Get down !

Hey ! Said my name is called disturbance
I'll shout and scream, I'll kill the king, I'll rail at all his servants
Well, what can a poor boy do
'Cept to sing in a rock 'n' roll band
Cause in sleepy London town
There's just no place for a street fighting man
No ! No ! No !

I love at the start when Noel's like "Fucking hell! Motherfuckin' thing doesn't work. What the fuck?" Or something like that but either way it's just fuckin' hilare!

This is perfect for travelling with your headphones really loud. There is such bluster to this song, everything is so loud, probably due to the time it was recorded (Be Here Now Era). A good cover nonetheless.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
