You failed to do your job. Superstitious cover up. They'll pay you because of your mistakes. You lie, you lie, you lie and they pay. You fail, you fail, you fail and they pay. Superstition. Unholy children. Blinded vision. false ambition. Can you show me how they're guilty? YOu liars, you killers, You fools of superstition. Blame the (so-called) unholy children with your blind vision and your false ambition. FREE THE THREE

um, wm3.org is not biased. it states facts and shit from the investigation(sp?) anyway, yes FREE THE THREE! and shadowsfall, you said it yourself, there was no evidence AGAINST THEM. and in the court of law you are innocent until proven guilty. and if there is no evidence against them, they should be freed!

This is a very emotional song. There is a lot of meaning in it. It shows us what failure as human beings some people are. In listening to it, you can almost feel the anger and sadness. I highly enjoy this songs. songs like these are a rare find.

I agree, this song goes deep. "you liars, you killers" the way he expresses the lyrics in song... it is emotional. Once you get used to Zao it isn't screaming anymore, its expression.

this meaning of this song is straightforward, and it's a good cause... it shows that not all Christians (or so-called thereof) are as stupid to condemn people to prison because they are reputed as Satanists, not even to accuse them of such a heinous crime with absolutely no evidence... i'm trying to work on making a transcript of the report read during the song... the first voice is pretty easy to decipher, the second voice a bit harder... the third voice is virtually impossible to hear... anyway...

Actually, this song was written about a court case in which three teenage boys were wrongly convicted of killing a trio of 8-year-olds. To find out more about it, go to wm3.org/html/sauls.html

actually ferret/phattom you are wrong cause in the cd insert the lyrics read "you fail you fail you fail and they pay" so the lyrics are right. but i think this song is so amazing and moving, I love when bands take a stand against an obvious in-justice like this. Its hard to believe how people could let something like this happen, but I'm glad that ZAO is in support of the WM3

i'd never heard of this case before, but i'm interested in it. i'm kind of curious to see how dan learned about it, and why he decided to write a song for it. as far as the meaning goes, it's pretty self-explanitory after you read the case story on the website

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
