"Unsent Letter" as written by Ross Andrew Johnston, Glenn Easton Dormand and Matt Ford....
I try to talk to you
Can't get past the weather
The friend I thought I knew
Has found somethin', somewhere better
So I'm hanging on your line
Thought we could speak together
Tell me what it is with you, you seem gone forever

I'm spendin' all my time driven round fakin' clever
With a girl who seems all right and another one who's better
I don't know if I lied when I said we're not together
But I try to talk to you, somehow you seem gone

I know I could have been tryin' not to think about it
Found it hard to live with this, and longer to live with out it
My dreams have caught me out I find my self surrounded
By the odds of our own end enough said about it

I'm spendin' all my time driven round fakin' clever
With a girl who seems all right and another one who's better
I don't know if I lied when I said we're not together
But I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone

I'm given up some thing, I guess that doesn't matter
Started other things, I guess that doesn't matter
I finally wrote your song, another unsent letter
In a pile addressed to you, care of somethin', somewhere better

I'm spendin' all my time driven round fakin' clever
With a girl who seems all right and another one who's better
I don't know if I lied when I said we're not together
But I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone

I'm spendin' all my time driven round fakin' clever
With a girl who seems all right and another one who's better
I don't know if I lied when I said that I'm together
But I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone forever
Yeah, but I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone forever
Yeah, but I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone forever
Yeah, but I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone

General Commentin response to lonerwithflour's comment, u makeit sound as though they r great lyrics. and i agree- for this song anyway. for wxample, they have another song called 'Let me be your dirty f**king whore" which goes as follows:
"My darling the stars, they shine for you
My darling the birds twitter for you
My darling my heart skips a beat
    Whenever I think of you
    And under this moonlit sky
I pray and dream that I
Will be the one, will be the one that you

Bend over and bang good and hard from behind
Have me on all fours, howling at the sky
I'll give your cock a good long suck
Then you'll give me a good hard f*ck
Squeeze my tits, all big and bouncy
Then spunk all over my botty
I want to be your butt-hot greasy slut
    Greasy slut
Begging for more for I can't get enough
    Can't get enough

When I leave your tool used-up, worn and soggy
I won't stop then, oh no no no
I'll become your little leg-humping doggy
Let me be your dirty f*cking whore"

i couldnt resist putting that in. haha

General CommentWell to me I think this song is about how you break up with someone but u still remain friends... "i try to talk to you cant get past the weather" well thats how your chatting, and find nothing else to talk about but the weather so the conversation is quite strained. So, this girl that he still likes (i dont know if i lied when i said we're not together) like, he broke up with her but he's not sure if thats what he really wants.. like, he's found someone else and has started other things with other people, but he still wants this one girl... hence all the unsent letters... I think he regrets his decision to end the relationship cos she's moved on without him....

General CommentI was under the impression that the lines:

with a girl who seems alright and another one who's better
    i don't know if i lied when i said we're not together
but i tried to talk to you and somehow you seem gone

Refer to the same girl - she seems like two people, perhaps in her actions or merely in his hopeful mind. One still wants to be with him, the other doesn't, two fighting personalities. He's unsure of what the situation actually is. And any time he tries to talk to her about it she doesn't respond the way he's hoping.

General Commentdefinetly a song about emptyness...

possibly about a relationship just after breaking up with someone and trying to still remain friends, but there being a lack off comunication (unsent letter is the title after all)...
and feeling like the other person has better things to do

the music and the lyrics really match well too....

General CommentThis song is definitely about a break up and finding it hard to let go and to move on, however, I don't think we can ever truly understand what the song is about because we don't know the reasons behind why they broke up and why the relationship didn't work. Because of this lots of people can relate to it........you just have to put your own pieces into the puzzle.
