I want you to see boats, so you took me to the sea
I felt like I could fly in this new sky you showed to me
Airplanes passed above us, so only i could hear
When you whispered "I love you" so sweetly in my ear
These are the best days (2x)
Night time on an empty shore - foggy like my head
Drifting off to sleep to all those silly things you said
Waking for a moment, to say that we'd be fine
You hid your smile with one hand and with the other you held mine
These are the best days (5x)

This song is one of those that just touches my heart to the core. About a day spent with a loved one who goes out of his way to show her the ocean, in this case, simply because she wanted to see boats. They spend the day on the beach and wind up sleeping there into the evening as the fog rolls in. Somehow it reminds me of Westley in Princess Bride always saying "as you wish" to everything Buttercup says.

A very sweet, lovely song. It never ceases to relax me. It's such an honest song, because the best days are often the simplest... pure love expressed in small ways.
Edited by delial on February 15 2008, at 06:31AM

It reminds me of young lovers, a boy and a girl next door, living near the sea. Their love is so innocent and pure.

" You hid your smile with one hand And with the other, you held mine..." so cute.

This is one of my all time favorite songs.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
