Do you remember, the way that we stood?
Nobody's right when everyone's wrong,
Do you remember the way that we fought?
and you wondered how it could go on

Do you think that we took to much time?
Do you think that I was right?
Do you think that we were wrong?
Do you think that we could have been fine?

Do you think that when we stopped,
that we could have carried on?

You weren't with me when I stood on the shore,
caught the view along way from home
You couldn't see, what happened to me there
when the rain and the waves became one

I'm the one who took a stand
I'm the one who saw things clearly, that night
and if I ever failed you
or you thought that I could have been more to you

Just remember, I did what I could
and it was almost alright

General CommentDo you remember the way we were. All the fights were we just were to stubborn to admit that we could be wrong. Now do you think it took us to long to finally end this? Is what I did right, we were just wrong? Or do you think we would have been fine. But you weren't there with me, when I looked at myself from everyone else's eyes. You couldn't see how everything came together. I now realize what I want and everything is so clear. I didn't know this at the time though so if I ever failed you, or you thought I could have been more to you. Just remember, at the time I did what I could what I thought best, and I am smiling beneath this frown. Because I know it, was almost alright, we were almost good enough.
